Agree with OP. A bunch of complainers that apparently have a very specific version of D4 in mind before it’s released and then complain when the beta is not that version.
OP is too old to farm certain bosses for specific item but i hope youre ready to make the same copy and paste dungeons over and over again for a small droprate of a unique which upgrades your character. Im not sure if ppl realized that the droprates in the beta gets increased…by a lot
Well for starters, not to have a bunch of dungeons where you have to retrace your steps back and forth to pick up keys to unlock doors.
Or for example not seeing people running around me outside of the city.
No “Trolls” player that comes and pulls creeps on me or steals my event.
If I want MMO I have WoW for that.
No doubt the game is good, aside from the character creator. Having 400 different options for nose bullrings and body art, yet only 10 hairstyles is a strange choice, as well as bodylocked presets for the classes is dumb. It’s difficult to make a younger feminine looking character with softer features. The existing options are too rugged and masculine. Not sure why the women need to have masculine jawlines. Why do all necro options have to look tweeked out on m3th? Most people want to make a nice looking character, not a societal degenerate. I mean seriously, the female druid is already extinct… nobody is playing that hambeast trash.
Aside from strange choices on the character creator, the game plays well. I think a lot of the complaints are just wanting improvements. Maybe some will be fleshed out by launch, maybe some won’t.
Being upset by inventory space is a valid complaint. Are they going to try to sell us inventory space in the MTX store? What’s the reason for no inventory space? That’s a free mobile game move. Why does rerolling at the occultist not show the options available? That was in D3, how was it missed here?
Other little things here and there that should be present in a 2023 live service game.
People have a right to voice their opinion.
The biggest thing for me is the character creator.
Can I just have my preset DH from D3? At least she looked like a woman and wore heels.
I expect stash expansions in season journeys like in d3.
i understand everybody has there opinion but i think i need to remind everyone that this is only 20 percent of the game thus the word “Beta”. My only real complaint is that i wish i could of seen every character class gimmick ex… the druid. I also think they need some more selections to the character creation system as stated by someone above. The last thing i would like is a belt slot. i think they could use that for the rune words aspect of the game (that was not my idea but i read it on another thread and thought it was genius)
I for once enjoyed the side quests. Some had several parts. It really pulls you in. Me and my brother played together and had a sense of adventure almost like a d&d campaign.
It highly depends on the side quest.
Some are good. I agree.
But some are just “kill dude, collect money, kill gouls,” etc. Those are bloat.
I wanted it to be more than “fine” or “satisfactory.”
Please no high heels mmo bs. Go play LA.
Well, the high heels were in D3. So it’s not exclusive to Lost Ark. I’m sorry the idea of a feminine woman is so repulsive to you.
Stat rolls should be very expensive.
Does Lost Ark have 13800 different Nightmare Dungeons in total you can complete with every new character? I tried Lost Ark and I uninstalled instantly after seeing all mobs that I hit getting paralyzed. How ridiculous.
No, it’s not. The netcode needs A LOT more work. We’re talking more than 4 months.
There’s also class balance that needs to be addressed. The Barbarian sucks. When I can wander into a world event, do nothing because the Sorcerer, Druid, Rogue or Necro has already cleared half of it FASTER than the timer on screen says? Something needs to be addressed.
The loot, the dungeons and the story are irrelevant at this point, we’re barely into the first ‘chapter’ of the game. It’s the mechanics that are at issue here.
And if you ignore that, you want the game to fail. That’s it. You are happy it’s broken and want Blizzard to crash this game.
End of Line
and what do you think the point of beta TESTING is? its not supposed to be a demo of the game its supposed to garther FEEDBACK about what is wrong with the game…
damn some ppl are just too dense to reatch…
I loved Diablo 1 and 2, I sunk years of my life into them.
I enjoyed Diablo 3 for what it was; though I didn’t play it nearly as much.
So far, Diablo 4 could go either way for me. I may end up playing the snot out of it and no-life the endgame. Or maybe I’ll just do the main campaign and try out a few builds and then move on. Either way is okay by me. I’ll enjoy my time in the game as I already have and I will feel I got my money’s worth.
The game doesn’t need to be some amazing life changing event that will go down in history as the pinnacle of gaming… it can just be a fun game we enjoy for a while.
And here I am taking a whole 4 days off when Diablo 4 releases to delve deeper into this awesome game.
Heck yes! I’m just doing half-days so I don’t get too far behind with work but still get extra time to play.
Plus with the headstart to play over the weekend prior I don’t want to burn out on it.
It’s not trying to go a different route at all. All the core systems were borrowed from the development of reaper of souls. Player power and builds are locked behind items once again.
Wake up. This isn’t a new game. It’s reaper of souls repackaged into a cheap mobile game so they can sell you cosmetics.
Players didn’t want D3.5 or D3.1 – They wanted a new game.
