And New World was a new game from a new team working with a new, unfinished engine.
So much for “you have to load every players full inventory and stash to prevent duping!” that a lot of copium folks have been repeating for a while. We back in D1 duping Godly Plate of the Whale, baby!

Pretty sure every game ever has had some sort of dupe exploit.
Haha i remember a friend who was trading a GF for 250 sojs. Once he got the guys SOJs he just logged off
Yeah, difference here though is that there’s no negative effects to turning off trading while they fix the bug.
Unlike in New World, where the disabled wealth transfer only created more issues.
New World, now that was a disaster.

For those of us who never played New World, what happened?
Basically like 6+ months of dupe bugs popping up, sometimes seemingly the same bug, resulting in them constantly needing to disable trading or other elements of the game while they addressed the issues.
Because reportedly the engine the game is built on is pre-Lumberyard and basically a half-finished pile of garbage held together by hopes and prayers. Putting someone in charge of a gaming division who has no experience with gaming or game development is a brilliant idea, apparently.
Not even close.
Only someone truly ignorant of how bad New World was/is could say something like that with any legitimacy.
Sounds like the New World was not a utopia, after all.

I played new world on launch and I can confidently say that my experience in d4 aside from the campaign, was worse in every way.

Seriously, anyone saying D4 is somehow worse than New World is just delusional.
It was that bad, that disabling trading to address the gold duplication exploit enabled another gold duplication exploit, among a lot of other issues.
No, that was a comment for Amazon. Bobby is a gross, terrible, soulless, vile human being and I do hope he strokes out sooner rather than later, but he at least knows how to run a company that can make some good games. Even if that means threatening flight attendants and knowingly seeing decades of harassment and abuse internally.
