The coding thing… it must be a burden, the poor things. If only they had “big company” cash to spend on a +50% technical staff. But alas, an indie.
its not is same in d3 only worse cause of worse servers too sometimes hit the button 4 times to make it p.
It’s like the old block lock on D2 when you had low block recovery. As a Druid (I think) was better to just throw your starter shield on the ground rather than keep getting “stunned” every time you block. Or how the Amazon got dodge locked.
Common guys this is a Diablo staple.
D2 even had a stat on items to reduce the duration of stagger animation that happens to your character when it receives a hit that takes more than certain % of the HP. Faster Hit Recovery or FHR for short.
Just like D4, you could not use any other skills or even move during thst stagger animation.
It has actually been there since D3 and I have seen it in WoW and SC2, and typically happens when there are a lot of input actions to process. I suspect is has to do with their core input system given it is there across games.
Most people don’t notice because they are either spamming buttons like crazy (ie. SC/SC2) or have a build where they don’t “queue up” a bunch of actions quickly.
