There's a lot of elite mob affix/lesser evil overlap in content

Just putting this here as testing feedback. I noticed in Pits and at times in the Overworld there can be a lot of elite affix and/or lesser evil ability overlaps. This is mainly referring to ground aoe telegraphed type attacks from affixes of champions/elites and the other lesser evil affixes from the season. I guess with the negative debuff from the Pit perk I was getting overlap from that, on top of Duriel, and then anything else obviously from a mob pack.

At times this overlap would freeze me, shock me with the lightning beams, and toss down poison pools with other stuff going on. It can be a bit much and I imagine others might complain, or have about this. Mobs also at times felt super fast so movement speed and/or cc is probably a good choice this season.

That’s all hope I was clear enough. I didn’t notice this as much in Undercity yet but I only did one of those.

IDK what exactly is the problem with the Pit but was never a fan to begin with

Now is even more problematic with multiple mobs doing CC attacks and when done in a narrow corridor double the trouble

I suggested a simple fix (kinda fix) in the other thread where I wrote to give us the upgrade altar right away at the start and we do the run with the upgrades. When we beat the round then we get to keep the upgrades. If no Shrines were taken during the run then double the loot reward at the end

We’ll see if they take a note from this

Borrowing glyph levels though might run counter to the earning of said levels and probably just feel a bit odd going to a main city to have to repeat level up glyphs over and over before a run attempt. Especially if you fail a lot on attempts in certain circumstances.

Definitely feeling the tension more in the Pit but the same boss every time is a bit meh imo. Imo he’s a bit too easy for one, and second Duriel should probably just be a chance to show up even if a good chance.

I don’t think Belial is always the boss, I once fought the Seahag

But yes, the chance for having Belial is quite big

The AOE is getting out of hand. I’m not saying it because I get frozen, poisoned, feared, electrocuted, burned, or chopped in half.. I don’t. There is just soooo much garbage on the screen for no reason, it’s just ridiculous. Can’t make interesting monster fights, just flood the screen with trash. Add to this, for 30+ levels you feel like you are playing the game in vat of molasses that seems to get worse every season it’s just not very fun.

Leveling used to be the funnest part now it’s just getting to be a slog.

Both player and monster AoE should get toned down a lot.
Same old D3 screen clutter.

Whatever devs end up doing, should not be removing the fear of mobs. I know there is not much penalty in dying, but if you completely remove any challenge from the combat, what are you gonna be left with? Chores. Why would you build a game that it’s nothing more than real life boring nonsense. We can turn this into anything we want and we choose to make it real life boring stuff?

Also, how come nobody is complaining about the Infernal Hordes, is beyond me. That is the worst anyone could come up with. At least in the pit you still have some sort of challenge, something interesting going (I don’t like the purpose of it), but Infernal Hordes? What a disaster of activity.

If you look closely at D4, everything is designed around one shotting the mobs, The Pit, Hordes, farming in HT, and more so you have to do it withing a short time. That is one shotting taking to extreme. With these new changes the devs are tying to move away from this old nonsense gameplay. I wish good luck to them.

They really should add a survival bonus to the game, so SC can have a sense of consequences in combat.

That could be a simple but interesting mechanic!

You never die if you one shot everything. The survival bonus would be great with these nice new combat changes.

I want to say I really enjoy HT toughness and the new mob design and AI.
