I am trying to push and clear packs of mobs in helltides, dungeons, out in the open world and nuked them down as fast as I can. It took easily 2-3 hours a level in the 60s and I’m very sure it’s going to take 4 hours a level minimum in the 70s and go up from there.
There is no way in the world unless you are a teenager and zooming through everything like a pro gamer or exploiting experience this is doable.
I’ve literally been playing since June 1 and am level 70 and have easily 100 hours or more.

So you’re saying you want to enjoy the game for less time?

We played on prerelease too, had server issues, I just reached 60.
And that’s playing vacation level hours. No way a person playing just 2-3 hours a night is gonna hit lv100 in a reasonable time frame.
The game also needs a groupfinder feature for dungeons and Strongholds. It feels like a pretty barren and lonely game when you are not doing Legion Assaults or World Bosses.

Tediously leveling through the game for no reason other than levels is not fun at all. It’s insanely annoying and boring.
There is nothing fun about that for me in any way shape or form.

Then don’t.
Play the game for the content.
Course, get ready for the same exact thing in Nightmare and whatever’s after that.
Lazy Devs.
You people are always the same lol.
“I want an ARPG that takes 4 months to enjoy so I can go right back to doing it as soon as the next season comes for 4 months ad nauseum without ever getting bored”
Even in Path of Exile you can see 100 within the first week in a reasonable time frame (also less boring time frame) and that game can hold up for months.
Also for seasonal content you do not want people playing for 4 months straight.
Doing so burns your audience out and hurts engagement numbers.

You people are always the same…
Judging without having any concept on Earth what someone is saying or how it applies to the current subject.
Leveling to 100 is so tedious I just opted to make another character. I am still unclear what exactly I am missing being higher in level because the content doesn’t seem to change. Everything feels exactly the same to fight at lvl 53 as it does on lvl 1.

Diablo starts at the max level you dolt. Welcome to the franchise.
Youre a moron bro. How many people are reaching 100 at all? Most builds in poe are done by level 70
if its so reasonable why arent people doing it?
The only thing that changes in Wt4 is that elites now have 3/4 affixes and hit harder, you get ancestral loot up to 820 power, and you can eventually fight Uber Lilith. Oh and you can do higher nightmare sigils for small increases in power over time.
I mean it’s something but it isn’t a lot.

I mean if you want to group up you can level to 100 in around 60 hours in a few select speed farming dungeons.
I think he’s mocking the people claiming Diablo 4 is too short.
No I’m not trying to mock anyone specifically at all. What I said is exactly what I think.

I got multiple chars to 100 and 97/98.
I’m used to grinds and enjoy them.
But good job with the ad hominem. I’m sure you’re very good at games.
…It’s not just for levels. It’s for a butt load of levels! (and just stat stacking via paragon). The thing that kills me is the cap of 50 actual talent points (plus 8 more from renown) on a level 100 character lol. Might as well have made the cap…50?

Is there a greater glory?
Careful… you’re making sense here.
Keep going - when WoW first came out it took the majority 2 months to reach level cap , not to mention that most games in those days had no level cap and you ended up getting 1% of a level (500 hours per level! ) after a few solid hours grind.
I was thinking about this earlier as I had become use to getting Blizz char boosts or spending a week to reach cap. I am way off 100 atm, but glad as I now realise trying to push levels is not needed and just let them come naturally as a bye-product of doing other stuff.
