Why it took my first S0 character so long to level.
Did all Lilith statues(well appx 95% of them) without the assistance of the W.W.W.
Am almost 100% on side quests (as of Oct 2023 and bugged ones stopped that fun) - thatās a lot of exploring.
Opted to walk/run most of my early time with the game vs using a mount.
It was quite fun and enjoyable to SEE what they did vs gg1337 pro Johnny pick 1 undead or spider dungeon and live there for weeks.
Interesting encounters too - standing at some totally out of the way worldās end type location just looking at all these details and then seeing someone had wandered up and was standing nearby. Always wondered if they were doing the same thing.
Taking time in NMDs just to see everything.
Itās easy to zoom past all the finer things that went into the game.
I just wish I could run it on higher settings.
Same experience with D2R.
As much as I wanted to PLAY the gameā¦ I spent nearly 2 weeks going over everything with a fine tooth comb. Incredible the amount of details they brought to life.

dude you cant imagine how often i switched back and forth from the classic graphics to the new one to compare areas haha. I think that made up 30% of my first playthrough time ^^

Sadly the swap wasnāt a true representation of āoldā gfx. Much exaggerated pixelation.
But your point still stands.
Iād stand at the campfire in Rogue. Just trying on different armors and helms, zooming in to see te subtle difference between say a breast plate vs Durielās Shell Cuirass.
They actually added flair and flavor to armor points on Unique items.
Thatās why āLoudā Transmogs in this game annoy me a bit.
While itās nice to be some spiked, bladed and flaming monstrous looking demon slayerā¦it can be over the top a tad.

Part of the reason Iām coming back to D4, even if briefly, is to try to experience more of the world. Originally, I was in a rush. Not so these days.
After spending some months in POE 2, itās not terrible, but itās not designed on the same level as a Diablo game.
And yeah, Iāve talked a lot of smack over the years, but all Diablo games have amazing world designs.
