I plan to make it so our guild is welcoming to all players and that we help eachother thorough the gearing process, making good use of the trading functions. Got some cool rare for sorc? Share that with your guildmate, and the same will happen with you eventually.
However, Its still pretty early and not many know exactly what their build needs (for stats) and what is valuable for who. And thats where i need your support :^)
Got a build? Know what stats you want to see in your rare gear? Post it here. It’ll try to make a decent spreadsheet with general stats for each build so its easier to know when you get something valuable for someone
I’ve theory crafted a significant amount of builds for both Necro & Rogue. I tested one of my necro builds in server slam and was able to solo Ash with it using sever as my primary DPS (obv this was the early stages of the build). I’d be happy to share some of the builds, do you have a Discord I could add you on?
step 1 - pick a class you want to play
step 2 - pick a skill that you want to use
step 3 - find a legendary item that helps a skill you dont use
step 4 - switch to use that skill and have fun
well, thats exactly the point, friend. I won’t play sorc, so i don’t really know how sorc works. Which means that i have no understanding of damage over time being useful, or if +1 fireball is even interesting.
Whats why i’m hoping to learn from other players what they value, without having to know every build and skill myself
That way when a really nice rare for sorc drops, there is one place to actually check and figure it out
+skills seems valuable in all slots, considering how few skill points we get and they allow you to use skills without investing a point or boost your main skills all that much more
i’m going to have a good foundation from raxx guides on maxroll anyways, just wanted to see what folks were cooking. But thank you for your opinion, mr serial poster. I’m sure you have a lot going on.
since am one of the theory craftsmen i will share all the builds i made so far (they might change a bit later on, but its a good start)
here are some builds you might like
There are a number of subtle interactions in the build which I like. Even so…
Ice Armor Enchantment only has a 5% chance to go off when being hit. If you are kiting, presumably you are trying to avoid being hit. That would seem to be at cross purposes to having Ice Armor in an Enchantment slot.
Have you considered using Fire Bolt as your Enhancement instead? Everything hit with direct damage would then burn (so everything hit by Arc Lash, Chain Lightning, or Ice Blades). That should drive Warmth better than a single Hydra. Also, since Endless Pyre scales on Burning damage and you are only investing 1 point in scaling the skill’s damage, I would think two of the points in Endless Pyre could be spent better elsewhere. Add in that you are then only investing one point in Fire Bolt as opposed to 3 in Hydra, you would then have two more points for a total of 4 points to be put elsewhere.
i dont need the fire bolt enchantment cause my hydra does the same effect and it have no cd
and 5% is very good chance for bosses and so on, cause basically you still have your main ice armor, so any more will always benefit you
and no in fire bolt you investing point + enchantment (and it doesnt attack with you)
while having 3 points in hydra = more overall dmg (cause it will attack with you with 4 heads) and give you the same effect
and clear 1 more free enchant for you to use, so if you dont like the ice armor, you can use it in other skill as well
I’ve only theorycrafted builds based on PVP. Even then, it’s entirely dependent on certain gear. Since we’ve only played the super early game, I’m just not sure how it’ll all pan out.
I love theorycrafting, but the in game experience is imperative.
Right now it’s quite obvious you want as many variances in damage as possible for additional multipliers, but it’s possible that isn’t the case in the end game.
I guess what I’m really saying is that all of us theorycrafters need to wait until we can see and map the entire paragon board, before drawing hard conclusions.
I will say, though, in the pre-paragon game, varying your damage types seems to add insane amounts of damage. So utilize any interaction you can between damage types for the additional multipliers. If you get an interesting interaction from it like cooldown resets, lifesteal, etc, even better. But the really important thing is a slew of unique multipliers.
also remember, you dont need the burning effect except in big bosses really, other than that you can wipe everything so easy
and the hydra will 100% burn the boss all the time
I’ll give on tip to everything that was said here: Play the game by yourself, find out stuff and how stuff works and share the knowledge in your guild.
If you want your guild to be aa nice place for anyone invite people who don’t have problems to play with trash tier skilled players who have trash skills and refuse to change anything because this is how they want to play.
If you find people who share this mindest you are good to go and don’t need anything to start the game.
The point was that more targets would be hit with burning than a hydra can hit and it does not cost mana or an action to invoke but rather is happening with every attack you are making.
But if you are satisfied, that is all that matter.
Not sure what you are saying here. Quite literally any direct damage you deal from any skill inflicts Burning with Fire Bolt Enchantment.
