I was thinking about this yesterday while I was leveling my druid which is now 86. I think there is a specific reason they made this change. The 825-925 items increase only the armor, resistances and specifically the weapon damage. I believe that the reason this was done is because of all the nerfs and changes to crit, vul and OP. Affix’s were not affected by this which is very odd. With out this change players would not have the damage to do much of anything in end game. Could you imagine trying to hack down one of the new bosses with an 810 weapon? It would take beyond forever. That is why it is an upgrade and at the same time not an upgrade.

i got like 3 items from him but i dont have a calculator. id rather get 840 weapon with 4 good usable stats than item with higgher dps and only 2

Thing is with out that higher weapon damage that boss would take forever. I got my first weapon upgrade from the World Boss which is a far easier kill for everyone which then open the door to the others. I am not saying the others couldn’t be done but with out the extra damage it would take forever. Its all because they nerfed all damage to the ground.

If your referring to Rob2628 he didnt 1 shot anything. Not sure what your watching.
And you were using a weapon that had item power above 826. Others wise it would not have been doable in that time. Also I would love to see you do that with an upgraded build and weapon because even a decked out 100 takes time to do them.

It’s not a bad theory and it very well may have been their intention, but reality paints a different picture. It rejects your theory and substitutes an alternate reality where people are killing bosses in record time.
1 hit 1 phase and with an 871 Unique, Guaranteed bugged build which will be nerfed.
Only killing them in record time with weapons that give them 3000 extra damage over the 825 max.
well i doubt it will be nerfed till season 3. they did say they dont intend to nerf/balance builds mid season

Yes. In a full group of players, he did over 300 million damage to Duriel and killed him in 1 hit.
I got 925 wepons and gear drops at lv 60. Im not getting upgrades for a long time.

They can be equipped as early as level 60. Common place to get them early in world boss.
Only did world boss once i doubt i got all 4 items there but who knows.
So far I personally have only seen 925s from WB and the 5 season bosses. WB does drop cache and multiple items at that level as well,
Maybe I just got lucky that one time
