I am currently playing a build I expected would be kinda a meme but in VERY suboptimal gear, messed up stats and honestly a wonky build. I am easily clearing high lvl nmd’s and tier 60+ pits ( pretty easily too 7+ mins left on timer ) I am not using flame shield, I am not using teleport, I am not using a bugged interaction. I am using multiple non uber legendaries. I have a TON of scaling left. I am having a BLAST and routinely clear entire hallways before I can even SEE them.
Okay, but what exactly is your build? It’s really easy for someone to claim all of this when they don’t even say what they are using for skills and aspects. Your post may be totally legit, but without any real information backing you up people will suspect you are just either gaslighting or well poisoning.
Its not well poisioning, and I know its not optimized by any means, and I am an oldschool player so I dont want to take away others joy of finding something fun to play by themselves, I will say this…another thread here is sniffing around the same setup I have, albeit in a dismissive joking manner.
To quote Blight from Batman Beyond.
“Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?”
Again, no backing information about your items, aspect and skills means you really can’t be taken seriously. Not because others dont trust you in particular, but because trolls have made it difficult to trust anyone’s good news.
Proofs to the studio. I can also say a lot of things. And if the assembly is really stupid, then it means you have found some kind of unregulated interaction that the developers left for their people. That would be interesting to see.
Well, he admitted that he has 47k HP, and it seems like a sorcerer, this means that he has at least all the paragons pumped in for the size of his health and has stones to increase his life.
That is, he spent a lot of paragon points on p damage and gained productivity. This means that either it came from the developers or accidentally found their loophole.
Depends on how long he will “break down” before he speaks.
Theorize all you want, but yeah without solid info on the build there just isn’t any way to confirm or deny. Especially when all we have to go off of is breadcrumbs. It feels like arguing with Pinocchio in Shrek. “I can tell you where Shrek isn’t.”
I’m not thorning. It is obvious here that there are many health paragons, there is an execution paragon that massacres ordinary mobs by adding up damage. Then just find skills with a high status of a successful strike and you will erase all ordinary mobs, only the elite and bosses will torment you.
First off, execute only works on injured mobs. Getting them to the point of execution is another matter entirely. Taking all those health nodes means you are trading damage for them from somewhere. Same goes for the gems and/or aspects.
Secondly, there is a claim that this build is clearing pit 60+ with 7 minutes left. Playing into execution mechanisms and trading damage for health doesn’t currently accomplish that unless there is something everyone has missed entirely, including the big players that do the math like Mekuna and Rob.
That “something” is missing from thesr posts and so far nothing is forthcoming from the person making the claims. All you are doing is arguing hypothetical numbers and mechanics all without any solid testing, or at the very least a defined build.
Stop stoking hypotheticals and show us that you know your stuff.
PTR closes today, and I’m on a business trip, I just didn’t have time to check. But judging by what he wrote, there must be a bug there. We’ll have to check it in patch s5 if they don’t remove this bug. But given how it was reported, this is most likely a bug leak.
PS. In my opinion, something similar was observed during the incineration and execution. But I almost didn’t crawl to the pit, I was stuck at level 46 of NMD.
Sorc even now can easily do Pits 115-120, the issue comes when u try to push higher cuz bosses just have insane amount of health and sorc have everything that could scale our dmg multiplicatively hard capped and our dmg to bosses is terrible I need to cast about 20 Frozen Orbs to do same dmg as 1 Bash hit on my Babr and any build with Overpowered wont fix that cuz even on classes designed with OP in mind you deal big dmg once in a while. Sorc wont be doing good even if you slap 100% Dmg on all skills we simply need better way to scale our dmg in the very endgame
I’m guessing he’s using Overpower - hence the investment into health and the use of a mace. I’ve seen people doing it with Axial Conduit, Banished Lords Talisman and sometimes Blood Boiling Aspect. The secret sauce in that case is that when you proc Overpower on Chain Lightning it applies to the entire cast, so for as long at that cast is alive it overpowers on every bounce. Probably stacking Overpower damage tempers as well.
I’m not sure this is going to the optimal way to actually play Axial Conduit, but we’ll have to see when we get the full S5 patch notes; perhaps there will be some additional options to help us stack more Overpower damage and/or procs with the reworked uniques. I’m also not sure OP is using an Axial Conduit build; sounds more like Lightning Spear since that can easily gank stuff offscreen and it has that fancy reworked Aspect that turns it into an AoE that scales with crit damage (frankly it’s like a better Chain Lightning, almost). Since Overpower applies to casts rather than individual hits, an Overpowered Lightning Spear will Overpower on every hit it does for its duration (presumably both of them, with Enchanced Lightning Spear, and maybe even on any additional casts procced from the new temper that can generate additional Lightning Spears on cast).
Pit 60 with seven minutes left is, as others have noted, unimpressive relative to the current season meta, but it’s still very unclear how it might fit into the S5 meta, and OP claims he has a lot of room to further optimize. If Shard of Verathiel is unchanged from the PTR, I can only assume that basic skills will completely dominate the meta since it will be almost impossible to keep up with how much they can scale, but it’s good to see people thinking outside the box.
If a wide variety of sorc builds can reach pit 120 “easily”, then sorc isn’t lacking anything. That isn’t the case. There’s a pretty narrow combination of skills, asspecks and gear that’ll do the job and it requires a ton of sweaty farming or expensive trading (see sweaty farming).
You have no idea how much does pit boss HP scale, varienty of build can reach 120 “easily” meaning u blast mobs in under 2 min then spend about 10 mins killing the boss most of these build will use infinite Flame shield so they dont have to worry about defense and pump those low dmg numbers a bit higher. But the single target(boss) dmg is joke and where other classes(except druids) with same equivalent of gear can do 140+ , could u kill that boss with Flame Shield cheese? The answer is probably yes but u would need about hour and half to do the dmg that is how far behind on dmg sorc is on bosses if you dont play fire build which still has uncapped paragon board there u can see the Fire Bolt build easily killing bosses too even 170+ pits
