Currently this title is available for clearing AoZ T20. For those who are running AoZ right now and are watching other people’s progress, you know that T20 as HOTA barbs is essentially free for grabs if you have the right gear. For ball lightning sorcerers, it is a very much achievable goal, and for everyone else it is insanely difficult to impossible.
I personally made the mistake running rogue and in addition to that an off meta build (pure Rapid Fire). Unless I skill to TB and adjust my whole gear, it is pretty much impossible to reach T20 AoZ for me. And even using the strongest rogue build only a handful of rogue players managed to cleat T20+ compared to the hundreds (if not thousands at this point) of barb players.
At this point, why wouldn’t you make the title available for clearing a T15 AoZ? Even off meta builds (or classes) can do that, and barbs/ball lightning sorcs get the title anyways no matter if it is available after T15 or T20.
I made this post because of the massive unbalance of classes as mentioned in my post. If you read my post you would be able to conclude that there is a very significant imbalance making it relatively “easy” for one or two classes and almost impossible for other’s. If everyone had the same or at least similar conditions this post would not exist. I know it is almost impossible to perfectly balance a game like this. There will always be builds and classes that have an easier time, but the way it is right now, giving a title away that is fairly achievable for a good 50% of the player base and almost impossible for the other 50% just does not make much sense.
Sure, it is. However, it is also the last thing to do in the end game. By your argument, why would I even play games at all? It is all meaningless, correct?
Because it’s a class / RNG specific win. Some people had to do Duriel 200 times to get Grandfather / Doombringer, while others had to do 2000+ times. Moreover, a Barbarian is pretty much essential to complete 20+. Other classes that can complete it must exploit via snapshotting etc.
I already have the title. However, OPs request seems very reasonable.
All classes have made it to t24 according to various sources. Now you may not have personally made it to t20, but it doesn’t mean it’s not possible or that they should change the requirements of a title. I’ll personally never get it myself, but I don’t want them to start giving out participation trophies because I can’t complete the hardest content in the game so far.
You want it lowered to 15, next person will complain it needs to be 10, and eventually we’ll get to the point where people will want it just by crafting the blood sigil for the first time. Thanks but no thanks. Give the title at least some meaning, for whatever it’s worth.
Not true. I still dont get the mentality that things need to be made easier if someone cant do it. Despite what some have been told, not everyone is a winner…and that is a good thing.
What they should do is give two new titles for completing T25, “Participation” “Award”. T20 can be changed to “Snowflake” “Runner-Up”. T15 can be “Inferiority” “Complex”.
I’m going based on the entries for solo play here: maxroll dot gg/d4/leaderboards
Of the solo submissions at or above Tier 20, there are:
130 Barbs
16 Sorcerers
8 Rogues
3 Druids
1 Necromancer
So out of the 158 submissions (rounded):
82% were done by barbs
10% sorcerers
5% rogues
2% druids
0.6% necromancers
There are for sure A LOT of people missing since not everyone cares to submit their runs. However, it is evident that it is so significantly easier for barbs than for necromancers.
No need to give out titles for free, but at least give people equal chances. In football, men and women are also separated due to men having a significant genetic advantage in that kind of sport. If women were to compete with the men, it would also be unfair.
However, having said that, and as other’s mentioned before, or course it is a meaningless title and they will implement leaderboards next season which will make it fairer for sure. No offense to anyone, I just wanted to bring this up.
It’s experimental content, that devs were certain no one would be able to beat. Players proved them wrong of course as is typically the case. I agree it’s obviously much easier on Barb, but Barb is also the flavor of the season, with sorc in 2nd. Next season will see something else I’m sure. Now it may be the same class but completely different skills who knows?
They gave us unpolished, untested, experimental content to give players at endgame something to actually work toward. I treat it as such. Use every unpolished, untested, broken, exploitative mechanic you can use to get through it. If that is what you wish to do.
Personally speaking I don’t feel like grinding for a title or a feat of strength. It also doesn’t affect me that other players are willing to put in the time and effort to obtain these things. I don’t feel it would be fair to diminish their efforts regardless of how they managed to do it, as long as it doesn’t get them banned of course.
Think of it like this. What if they gave you a title meant for reaching level 100, but they gave it to you at level 80 instead? Wouldn’t make much sense would it? Or a title for reaching level 100 NMD but you were able to receive it at level 75 NMD. Clearly the 75 is much easier, just like T15 is easier than T20 for AoZ.
Now I personally can’t beat T10 myself, but I’m also not willing to put in the time and effort to reach those heights. But I don’t want them to change the requirements for a title down to my level. That’s all I’m saying.
Definitely a good point just treating it as experimental content.
Anyways, it is probably for the best to just accept it as is this season and the implementation of a class separated leaderboard in S3 should probably fix this type of issue.
Due to the nature of the Tears glyph, players are forced into “picking something” since Tears cant be shared. I would love to play more necro in AoZ, buuuuuuuut
Please tell us why the Zenith title should be given for completing AoZ 15? Games out there have achievements, milestones, whatever you would like to call them that aim for the small majority of players who will put their time in to achieve such feat.
Gamers need to realize that some things might be out of their reach or grasp and that could be due to many varying factors. Some people are completionists, where as others are not and don’t care.
Now i get it that only “certain” meta builds are able to easily push tier 20. Or the fact you truly need to sink the time in to level up the glyph in order to have a chance in later tiers
