THIS GAME IS A 0/10 UNTIL THEY PUT THE WITCH DOCTOR BACK IN
(actually a good game but im still sad the witch doctor got yeeted out of the game)
At this point I don’t see why any class other than Necro exists with the favor they show it.
I also wanted Witch Doctor but oh well. Unfortunately I went Sorc instead of Necro.
While I share your concern, and enthusiasm for adding the WD class to D4…
I am not really sure you actually played the game. As we could never turn ‘others’ into pigs or chickens’ only ourselves.
I would like to have a WD class in D4, as well.
I would also like to have the same level up scheme as in D3.
I say this because there is only so far we can go as a Season Character. Our ‘Seasonal Work’ does not add any usefulness to an ‘Eternal Realm’ character. Unlike what it did in D3. All characters enjoyed that ‘Paragon Boost’. Paragon level 900, I did one showing. Meaning - LEVEL 900 - won’t see that kinda strength here in D4. So - Devs - hope you are going to make an ‘Endgame’ to Paragon in tune to D3, because if you don’t… Well, cannot see many people sticking around for a 2nd season if they cannot become stronger in Eternal Realm from playing in Season, like in D3.

The expansion will expand the map southwards. There you will meet witch doctors, both as Fetish Shamans near Kurast and humans in the thick Torajan jungles.

Because the witch doctor isn’t part of the canon it was a total retcon hit piece by Jay Wilson to the origins of the Diabloverse.
I would play a Witch Doctor in Diablo 4 if they decide to put in as long as it is not a channeling Firebat type of build. Loved the Gargantuan, Poison Dart, Zero Dog and Jade Harvest builds.
Because it’s the worst class in D3.
Lets make the witch doctor the actual summoning class since necros have massive benefits to sacrifice minions and just all go bone spear since they need a godly ring to make summons work.

One of the best and fastest killers in D3 was and is, the Witch Doctor.
I should know. Mine is 900+ Paragon.
My favorite WD build was the old fetish build with the Star metal knife. Using rain of roads and all that. It was before the ones you mentioned came to be.
It only became that towards the end.
It doesn’t mean the developers can’t rebuild the class from the ground up and actually make it fun and viable.
Witchdoctors are Druids. Think of them as European versions lol
@DVS - I played that too. Took me forever to get a Starmetal Kukri but it was so worth it when I finally got one. Also did ZDPS with the Tiklandian helm… Horrify, BBV and piranhas. That was so much fun. The WD is the most fun class in D3.

Anyway the lack of Witch Doctor in D4 is NOT a major contributing factor to why it’s a 1/10 game.

witch doctor was a mistake that do not fit Diablo. leave that for the fetish shaman in D2 - act 3
WD is basically a swamp witch, and we have a whole zone of swamp, idk why they wouldn’t fit in.
Witch Doctor was basically a scuff necromancer, but I’d hope they could remake it better in D4.
