I also do not tend to like it…
I do enjoy minion builds for the fun relaxation it can bring.
And I do have to say the blood wave build can be fun in things like the pit where you basically just blow up groups. In a wider setting area it is not nearly as much fun.

Minion Build got a nice but boring looking Grandfather Mythic 
I started with the Minion Build before swapping to the Orb Collector.

I’ve never tried blood wave. I don’t even know what it looks like. I play minions. And historically a few weeks of spiritborn, but all else minions.
I really just for once want to find a transmog that looks as good as the plague rat set. I tried some heart’s garrison shenanigans but I always come back to the plague rat dress. It isn’t that it’s perfect it’s that everything else looks the same to me. Busy and ultimately boring, but hey they did get me that one time.

I played bloodwave for maybe a week, it’s incredibly boring gameplay, so my necro is currently on hold awaiting the fix to the fix to the fix to the fix to the fix to the fix…on Mendeln/Minions.

I had a nice looking one from S3, but the previous ‘armory fix’ patch got rid of it for the time being. I haven’t checked since the latest patch to see if it got fixed or not.
Golem builds are still pretty okay, and don’t need the ring…but your other minions are more clean-up crew than your main combatants.

huh? my necromancer looks absolutely awesome. using 3 transmogs im switching back and forth - got a nice mace for all of them.
I’m not. I have been running Rogue and only Rogue since the beta. I don’t begrudge any Necros out there though. Build looks fun

Started minions and swapped to Blood Wave - wow stronk!
Made a Barb with max move and EQ - wow stronk and FAST!
Rolled Mekuna’s Lightning Spear Sorc…
Not the strongest but OMG SO FAST!!
Love the BW Necro but it’s so darn slow.

I am a first time Necro, (after levelling a lightning spear Sorc.) Rathma would have kicked me out of necromancer school, if Inarius hadn’t killed him.
Blood Wave is the only skill that really does damage. None of my other skills are doing much. Blight helps gather them and blood mist lets me cruise around waiting for blood wave cool down. I find it clunky but you can easily one shot torment 4 bosses without even having your glyphs levelled. I think mine are at 20.
I’m not playing Necromancer…and I personally have a tendency of not playing the Most popular build.
I WILL Play Necro, but not that build.
BW is already crazy overpowered, no mythic weapon needed. It would be nice if they had some less ugly skins for 2H maces.

i started sorc but had to make a necro to get the mythics i needed for her. after that, i haven’t played it since: poopwave is just so annoying and boring to play. can’t stand it.
I have a low-level Necro on the Eternal server. She has minions. She uses Blood Wave when necessary, but doesn’t have the gear to support it properly. Most of the time, for leveling at least, bone shards & minions & corpse explosion do just fine.
Having said all this, it’s painfully obvious, to me, just how utterly over-powered Blood Wave would be if I did have the proper gear & affixes & what-not. It’s a hoot to run about for a bit deleting everything in sight every 30 seconds or so, but it gets boring quickly.
