What? Having fun has lead to game downfalls? Wow is also still on the top of the charts, although I don’t play it anymore.
In my opinion, liking a game, or even thinking it is the best game ever does not make one a White Knight. If someone makes lots of posts, talking about how they like the game without bashing other opinions, that doesn’t make them a White Knight, it makes them a dedicated fan, which is just fine.
It is the constant posting, telling others how wrong they are, over and over, that earns the title of White Knight.
WoW’s playerbase has been dwindling ever since BFA, and further back since WoD. Despite having an amazing expansion currently, that many longtime players say is one of the best it’s had, the world feels empty of players.
And no, you’re purposefully trying to twist my words at this point. Reread the original post or this if you’re confused
Well I’m done in this thread.
Glad to hear it,
20 ch
wait, I thought we were going to get freaky?
Honestly, this seems like a pretty bad take to me. Whether you like or dislike the tone or the words of the poster, they are not being a white knight. They’re not blindly defending the game in that comment. They’re stating a very real and very wise piece of advice: “If you don’t like something, and you can change circumstances so that you are not subject to it without harming yourself in other ways, then do it.” That’s effectively the same as, “If you don’t like the game, then stop playing it.”
No defense of the company. Not ignoring any problems. They’re not even claiming everyone else’s opinions are wrong (in that comment; I haven’t stalked their post history) or blindly denied any problems can exist. They’re just stating a simple piece of advice that, frankly, more people should follow. For their own mental health.
You’re diluting the meaning of “white knight” by calling this a “perfect example.”
I’m not a white knight, but anyway, I don’t care about this label. Just to say it’s okay to criticize a game, on a forum, to make suggestions, to report bugs, with full respect to the dev and others people that have hard worked on it. Just be respectful to others people, and everything will be fine.
But it’s not okay to go into hate and verbal violence, as we can see more and more often on forums and others social medias. Demanding people to be fired, naming them like a target, threatening people, destroying their lives and their dreams. It’s not about being a white knight, it’s about being human.
I’ve seen it happen too many times before. “If you don’t like it, leave”. Guess what? They left. Can you imagine if the devs took the same stance?
If you want a game with less players, continue telling people that.
started at 8pm and live on the east coast, so not sure what server it put me on but its was dead.
I would like to see real criticism once, but all i see here since release is “game is bad” and “game is boring”.
Thatd make too much sense, trying to see both sides to the picture and telling people “theres the door” does nothing but dwindle the player count down more. Granted while not eveeryone agrees with each other, the decent thing would be to view it from all sides and come to solutions and not insults. But its the internet… We’ve got trolls trolling the pages looking to spark arguements because they get a kick out of it and have nothing better to do. Keyboard warriors should be a class in diablo lol
This is Diablo 4, not Hello Kitty 4
Yeah, unfortunately too many people from both sides refuse to have an actual discussion and instead just attempt to dismiss each other. That guy was the perfect example, when he realized he wasn’t getting into an argument he just left.
Exactly.
Pretty much all that nonsense has me not even wanting to look in the forums. It’s 99% BS. Sad thing is, this is seemingly happening with just about ever new release. Whole droves of Parroted anger and a lot of times, misinformation.
That and you can’t actually say you’re even having fun or you get met with a bunch of nonsense being thrown your way. Pity the OP didn’t realize what they say goes both ways. But I guess that’s how it is these days. Everyone has blinders on and will not consider any outside perspectives.
Didn’t see this comment until after I posted the above. You’re right. Glad to see you say this.
I think I know better than you what I think / consider. I’ve made a thread saying the same thing about the doomers claiming the game is dead after 1 month. That thread also got flagged / hidden because people can’t handle an opposing opinion.
Edit: Gotcha, yeah I’m willing to see both sides, I just want people to have an actual discussion and not just completely dismiss / insult each other.
Yeah, this is DIABLO 4. It’s also the least Diablo-like title they have ever produced, somehow managing to fall further from the proverbial tree than even Diablo Immortal.
See what happened here. You posted this… Because you didn’t see my post above. Interesting, isn’t it?
Edit: Same goes for the edit… HAHA
It’s crazy. I’m wondering if they aren’t having some sort of server issues tonight. Every night I play, (CST Texas), it has been packed with people. This evening, however, it has been dead up until seeing people at the World Boss fight a little while ago. I’ve seen maybe 1 or 2 people max out in the open world, and the one person I was able to communicate with was non-english speaking and my Ping which stays around 58ms sky-rocketed to over 600. It was this way until I left the area. No clue what’s going on, but this is the first night/afternoon I’ve been in game and not seen packed towns and random people in the open world.
