The Waxing Gibbous is officially crazy

It took me a while to switch from 2h to this and a totem to get my paragon nodes and some other things up to speed, but, wow, just wow. I get almost never ending crits!

I’m a very happy little werewolf

oh you can recommend? not sure if ill stick to nado, or want to go for shred build…

I was already a shred build so I only had to move some aspects around and get some extra stats to re-enable some paragon node bonuses. In large packs it is insane as I do almost non stop crits. It is a little perhaps less powerful against single-targets, though.

i played shred too and i adored the speed you move with through dungeons. i just got tempest road and the waxing gibbous, but i thought id try tornado first as everyone talks about it.

hm… now you got me thinking if i wanna switch :stuck_out_tongue: you used the classic maxroll build?

I based it on the maxroll build mostly and tweaked it a bit. Because I have plus 4 to all werewolf skills I took some off and moved them elsewhere.

Interesting I keep hearing about tempest roar. I have one but don’t really understand how or why to use it.

Edit - also, you lose another aspect slot and if you are relying on an aspect on a 2h weapon you’ll also lose the 100% power bonus as you’ll need to move it prob to your amulet, and move that and so on.

Oh! if you got oneyou can def include it in your shred build. What it basically does is that your storm skills become werewolf skills as well, which has a few nice side effects of course. for once, dmg multipliers that affect WW skills affect storm skills now, and most importantly… you get acces to storm skills in your skill bar when you are in the frenzy wolf form.

on top of that it regenerates Essence, if you have a bit of lucky hit.

most importantly… other druids will hate you if you got one, and dont use it. its pretty much one of the most sought for items ^^

I won’t tell the other Druids I’ve got one if you don’t

Thanks, I’ll try it out but not sure if I can afford to lose yet another aspect

Waxing Gibbous shred is my go to so far. Put the malignant heart on that increases your crit damage but lowers your normal damage for extra oomph. Still low leveled, but eventual plan is to get points into damage to healthy enemies from paragon and gear, damage to injured on gear, and crit chance vs injured aspect. The general idea is you smack the hell out of them on the first hit with damage to healthy and can have nearly guaranteed big crits on injured if the initial hit isn’t enough.

Makes for some speedy dungeons, and the healthy/injured damage bonuses make bosses go down pretty quick also.

hehe ^^ theres a guide for it on maxroll too
you can literally just follow it =)

Waxing Gibbous is not compatible with Barber heart because the heart will do most of killing blows, so keep that in mind.

In this same vein, I worry that procs from Storm Claw aspect has the same effect. I’m not 100% sure, but I think this is the case if the lightning damage is the killing damage, which sucks that it works against itself that way.

Thanks, I was starting to wonder why it didn’t proc I was thinking it was bugged, I’ve removed my barber and I think that is still worth it for the consistent crits. Not sure about the stormclaw aspect, it’s hard to tell…

Also, not sure about tempest roar. I keep swapping to see but as damage numbers are so variable in this game I can’t tell. It does make hurricane do crazy damage, shame it’s always on a cooldown lol
