In the current version of Diablo 4, the tab for quest items has been removed. As far as I know, there’s no way to access it anymore— I certainly couldn’t find it anywhere. However, the individual quests haven’t been adjusted. Sometimes you receive items that you’re actually supposed to inspect, but that’s no longer possible. You can’t read the item descriptions anymore, which often contained lore. It’s a shame that you can’t view them, as this means some of the existing content is essentially lost.
EDIT: When you open the quest log from the map and select a quest, you have the option to view the items, including their descriptions. So, it’s still available.
How about “quest” items that do not have a specific quest, for example Intricate metallic Fragment, I had one of those, but unable to see it or any related quests.
Thanks for the update. I did not know about this either. Sometimes whether you or your party mate actually picked up a quest item or not, seemed to not be verified without this tab. With a world search on the map and mouse over the blue circles, and reading the tooltip, while in a helltide on a screen you cannot see your character getting beaten on… It used to be a quick, yeah I got it with only a third of your view obscured from inventory screen. It seems werid that it was taken away unless it is more limitations of their system, loading everyone’s inventory including quest items?
You CAN read the lore / descriptions. Click on the quest in your log and there will be a tooltip to I think press shift to view the quest item in detail which is now “stored” in the quest itself instead of a separate tab.
It’s not super obvious but it’s a better system in every way.
