The stygian stone drop rate is still not good

I did 30 pits tier 91 today and I got 1 stone. I dont think this is any good. This drop rate is maybe good for botters but not for real humans.

Done around 30 today and a friend has done 50 and we both have gotten 1.

The drop rate at minimum needed to be 0.5% per level of pit or they need to remove them from being used to summon tormented bosses except Andariel and Duriel.

I did about 10 last night and got none. With the new drop rates I should have gotten at least 1 but 10 is too small a sample size. I’ll see what happens later this evening

I think it’s much better and is fine the way it is. These stones aren’t meant to drop like candy. At 18% drop rate for Pit 100 seems perfectly reasonable, I farmed for ~3-4 hours yesterday and got 12-13 stones.

Either you were high and dreamed it or you the luckiest person on the planet. I did like 50 100 pits got 2 stones.
Still since this season started I have gotten more ubers than stones and I have 3 fully MW characters they certainly not fine.
Oh and the fact only the person that starts the pit even has a chance is BS along with getting shafted on the materials for grouping. And do not give me the “well you did not pay the runeshards” bs either because we ALL have 10k+ runeshards that we well never use.

Really? Since the patch yesterday? If so then you must have been pretty unlucky, you should have gotten around 9 stones. But RNG is RNG :man_shrugging:

Not rng garbage drop rate. And the fact in a 4 man group only 1 person has a chance at a stone is even worse.
Absolutely stupid the pit either needs to be done right and give rewards for grouping and for difficulty or it needs to go.
AoZ learned this already. A 61 pit drops 20 mats and 100 should drop 400 at the very least. And go up exponentially from there since the hp does,
EVERYONE in group should get same rewards. Make it like rifts where everyone uses shards but who really cares they are an infinite resource anyway.
Pit is not fine drop rates not fine. And at 18 percent drop rate since yesterday i should of got about 50 stones. My 100 pits take 2 minutes.
50 or so is just what i did solo. I did a whole lot more in group since i do not need materials anyway.

Is it confirmed that only the starting person is getting stygian stone? Like half the rewards is not enough? Blizzard force us into solo play in this MMO like arpg? No idea why they do this.

Ok so I just did 7 t91 and got 4 stones. Again 7 isn’t a big sample size but we’ll see if this keeps up.

Yeah, ive done today 25 and yesterday 25 , that is 50 Tier100 pits where i got 1 stygian overall. With my math thats somewhere near 2%, atleast its not even near 18%.

Would love to grind tormented bosses but cant get good gear wich i could sell to buy stygian stones. So please make that drop% somewhere, where player doesnt have to think selling kidney or smthing to get stygians.

Oh its confirmed. I have been paid billions carrying pits for people. Never got a single stingy stone.
But this been a thing since they upped the hp for each group member. Was already garbage xp bonus for being in group 100 percent hp was just a slap in the face.
Now with mercs most likely being like d3 mercs and not d2 d4 will be full on solo single player game.

10 isn’t a “too small sample” size… blizzard need to code the RNG beter.

or are you ok with 50% drop rate, where the “50% drop rate” only happens after 1million pit runs? and you get nothing for the 1st 1million pit runs

co-op aspect of the game has been crap from the get go… how would you even find a group of people to do something without going to discord.

This anti group meta must go for good. If they care so much about solo players then make solo mode like in D3 and leave every normal person play with friends. Most of my friends dont play op meta builds so group play is often not as efficient as solo play, but its more fun, becouse overall pits are very boring and bad experience with zero rewards.

It’s still faster to level up a character to get these stones. i think that’s very bad.

They should drop more, and from more sources than only from the pit. Also, the torment bosses should only need one stone to spawn.

Haha, Blizzard must add pity coefficient ASAP. Or they will be flooded by these unlucky guys.

I ran 101s 2-4mins per run for hours today and got 3.

Can we please stop this “carry” bs. If you can’t do the content and have someone else do it do it for you then that’s tantamount to cheating . I mean, what’s even the point of having a game then?
