The smoking gun in the room for new content coming dec 5

im seeing a lot of vids out there saying for the new content that clear speed but for the boss… switch to this item or switch to this key passive

what i wanna know is thus… if its like a GR from d3, which ill stay off that rant, will they lock the gear and skills during the run? All that theory crafting is pointless if this happens lol if ya cant switch in the run.

Have they said anything about this?

Its basically GR. Timed dungons to upgrade a powerful glphy than can go over 200

The game doesn’t need new content. It needs new items. Better items. Rare builds to set goals for. A reason to grind out 80 or so levels. And then full open trade.

Content creators min-maxing the fun out of the content before the content even comes out is the most ridiculous thing ever.
Looking forward to all the players complaining that the content is either bad because too easy with the OP build youtuberA made for them, or bad because the OP build from youtuberB is actually not working that well.

One would assume, that they (the streamers/content creators/whoever) would be under the constraints of a legally binding NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement), and therefore prohibited from discussing anything about upcoming content.

lol yet none of you talked about the core question… do you think gear/skills/paragon will be locked while inside the run?

Since it was locked in D3 there’s no reason to expect otherwise.

what i was thinking due to upcoming leaderboards as well… should be very interesting

for clarification to the post above… Macroboiboi stated he cant discuss what he played and neither can wuddy but yet “heres the infinimist build you need to run” lol max life max armor dump all the ubers and run aspects
for example

Infinimist (and its variants including Pentadot etc.) probably wouldn’t be able to clear T25, since it has problem with killing bosses quickly.

Not being able to switch gear would be nice. Hopefully they also start locking skill slot changes. Skill trees and paragon too of course. Should happen in NMDs as well.

I say let them switch whatever gear and skills they want inside AoZ. Just put a time penalty on it. Every time you change something, it adds 1 minute to the timer or whatever. Eventually it will be more efficient to not change gear/skills mid-run.

I don’t care if people switch gears/skills mid-run. However, if someone wants to beat the content by doing that, have at it, as long as players that like to do that is having fun, it’s all good.

For NMD I sometimes swap out my Key Passive depending on what type of dungeon/mob types/crap dungeon affixes that happens. Usually just once mid-run when I get a feel what’s in the dungeon. I like it, it’s fun. Don’t limit my game play options please, thanks.

Also limiting our ability to change skills etc in NMD would ruin the fun of experimentation! I love that part of the process.

My bet is no lock because this is D4 not D3 … Just look at uber lillith

I am happy if I can clear T5 using a non meta, not broken OP build. After allz devs already stated AoZ is ONLY for a select few builds that are bugged like Ball Lightning. So the if the fact I can even do T5, that’s already a win for me. If some bugged build fiinishes T25, congrats but not impressed.

The aim is to finish T25 without using a bugged build.

I think only HOTA immortal Barb can do that. Technically it’s not a bugged build but an overtuned one (like the old Bone Spear Necro).

but i thought the will pants helps just like with a rogue does… with a hota build… resources and such.

The immortal Barb doesn’t need resource generating ability from Tibault’s. The thing with Barb is that they generate Fury/resource when being hit. If you can raise your damage resist high enough so that the health loss is very low (when you are hit), the natural fury generation (of being hit) can compensate the fury loss from Selig.

It’s crazy how synergistic the Ubers with Barb are.

It needs new content to drop those items but the power of those items needs to be capped at or near the current power ceiling. Expand the content and add items. Make all of those items tradeable. Then you can play how you want to play because you can trade the stuff you find for stuff you want.

Stop using poe and backpack battles for d4 inspiration please. Thanks.

That’s my dream lol. My practical goal is T5.

But here’s the thing if that glyph really gives any character a huge DPS boost, I am wondering why non bugged, overturned builds will have problems against T25 unless the health of those mobs would require 10 PCs of this overpowered glyph (exaggerating)

Necro has just achieved immortality (check Rob2628’s channel) but the damage is shiet, I tried it myself.

That class certainly can benefit from the new glyph that boosts DPS. It has no overtuned build either so it can use every help that it can get its hands on.
