So I’m a necro and while this is not about how I build my character thats for another discussion, it is about what drops for him. So the imprints and stats I’m heavy on or always use do NOT drop for him anymore in some cases they don’t drop at all.
As an example I use the Basic attack Speed % Imprint on either my weapon or my Amulet depending on how my build changes and evolves. Problem is this aspect completely stopped dropping for me so if an upgraded Weapon or amulet drops I cant use them because I have no back up Imprints to use since they stopped dropping for me weeks ago .
The Reason IMHO is that I have This imprint on my character from the beginning and it used to drop at a normal rate. I have Basic attack speed on my Chest, I have Basic attack speed % on either my Amulet or Weapon and I have 2 gem slots on my weapon with Basic attack Damage 25% each, and I do have another armor piece with Basic attack speed as well. This gives my build insane Basic damage, and also insane Essence regen as well and when I blight an enemy pack I spam bone splinters and randomly shoot bone spear and I never even get touched sometimes I kill pretty much everything with my Basic attack since it so juiced up. Never seen Basic Attack Damage Imprint drop in the last 2 full weeks.
This seemed odd to me until it started happening With the + 2 Skelly Mages Imprint which now no longer drops for me. I decided to test this theory and use gear without those Imprints on lower tiers due to the way my toon is built and I got some drops. Problem is I don’t want to play a character like that and I certainly do not want to roll another Necro just for Imprints
When I changed a part of my build to Blight that Imprint stopped dropping when it used to drop regularly. This is obviously a way to keep you playing and pushing for Items or stats you may want on certain Implements and I’m sure of this because the only Skill based implements I now get are EVERYTHING but Bone and the Blight Implement. This has been going on for weeks and its a terrible way to run what they call RNG which is rigged to get you to keep playing. Its obvious and its a really lazy and poorly designed system.

Yes, this has been noticed by a few people already and the subject has been brought up. This is just another way that Blizzard artificially tries to extend the playtime of D4 through annoying and tedious ways because they have no talent to do it through real substance like gameplay features and content like unique, expansive multi-level dungeons, itemization etc. You’ve seen their attempts already, and people got bored less than a month in. So, this is the only way they know how to keep people playing and as you can see, its not working.

This isn’t how the system works at all, but you should tape that tinfoil hat on just in case it starts slipping off.
Aluminum Speed Tape should help.
Well if you think it works differently please explain. This is 100 % happening to me and if you have any inside info on how the dev’s designed this system to be so sure this is NOT what’s happening Please enlighten us on that as well.

Most people have noticed this trend.
You’ll get a lot of rng or sample bias responses, but they’re just parroting what has been drilled into their heads because the alternative would be a negative against blizz and that’s unthinkable, impossible, for them.
It’s undebatable that there are flags that prevent certain things for dropping based on the class you’re playing.
I’ve never gotten a “you gain 1 fury for every shout active” mod to drop on my sorc. Or necro. Or rogue. Or druid.
With that in mind, it’s not within the realm of impossible that there are other flags in place that impose a diminishing return on drops within a class.
You’ve tested this and found it to be true. Ignore the naysayers.

Rigged or not, all your problems would be solved if we could trade
Part of the reason I stopped playing is one aspect wouldn’t drop for me either. Got 1 very early and after that nothing. Couldn’t even play my build properly due to that

Actually, it is. It’s called “weighting”.

not only are you using basic skills as an defining build but your theorys about rng are rigged af aswell
It is 100% a troll
In most cases legendary aspects aren’t nearly as meaningful as the player base believes. Only a few builds are really aspect dependent.
On the other hand every good build is completely dependent on vulnerability and crit damage. As long as you got those two things your builds some what viable.
IF you put enough hours into the game you’ll quickly lose interest in legendary items dropping at all because you realize how meaningless aspects are outside of a few builds that really need them.
I’d wager RNG works legitimately, and that this is a result of hope and expectation altering your perception. However, I could be wrong. As a level 76 bone-spear-full-minion necromancer, I extract ALL aspects and stash them for alts. In going through my stock, I don’t see any disparity in them. I get a little of everything. Nothing more or less than any other.
Sounds like you haven’t played druid. Whole class revolves around aspects to even have a working build. If it isn’t aspects its uniques. I am sure this is true of some other classes as well, but I’ve yet to test high level NM on anything besides druid. Can’t disagree with you more because aspects mean the difference between a 20 minute nightmare dungeon and a 6 minute one. Also don’t see a druid getting close to 80+ NM without proper aspects. They are literally what define a persons build. That is just the route D4 went. Stacking crit and vuln only gets you so far. I have been fortunate enough to have multiples of every class unique and aspects I have been saving since level 30s though so no complaints here.
No sorry I’m a minion / Bone necro . My character is fine the way I play it and I have no issues . If you don’t like the fact I try to max out every skill or Item I have then move on because that’s not what this thread is about at all. Also when did I ever say My Basic Skill was defining my build ? I used Basic Skill as an Example the main parts of my build are Blight , Bone Spear, Bone Storm, Minions, Attack Speed and Crit Chance and every peice of my armor and weapon support that along with the 12,000 Thorns I currently have.

So how does it work?.. because so far i have personally read over 1000 same observation and i personally observe the same thing on my 5 lvl 100 chars and over 30 people i know have reported the same thing. If you can provide an explanation for this extraordinary coincidence that everyone is reporting the same pattern of behavior. Also you can make a new char and test it for yourself.

Stats are definitely rigged. Stats that are crappy for most builds are much more common than stats you actually want.

make a new char and check the reports on the same observation you can literally repeat & test this. It’s the same RNG pattern, right now everyone online knows it’s rigged… it’s not just a theory or hunch anymore, it’s repeatable & testable… as to how it is exactly tuned that is still TBD… but within reason, anyone by now should know it’s 99.99999% rigged unless over a million people somehow coincidentally have the same observation that was due to selective bias/memory over 100s of hours on seperate characters. Btw you can make a new char get it boosted and test it… I understand your healthy skepticism & not jumping to conclusions on conspiracies but if you don’t see the disparity you have observation/awareness issues lol because it is blatant… we all just don’t know the “exact” tuning/system for this.

i have a similiar case, i have a arc slash sorc build and never dropped any unique chest, i got a razorplate last weekend and i start to realise that somithing is wrong with the loot table, Aspect of Control stopped droping for me as well, i bet that rng is artificial, and i bet if i switch build to ice shard, i will get the sorc unique chest

I notice that on my 100 as well. Seems to get worse the higher level you get, especially at 100.

Been noticing this with overpower damage on one handed weapons, almost nothing drops and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten an enchant with overpower.
The game needs more uniques, or equipment that isn’t so rng heavy.

Rng is this game is blatantly manipulated.
These games (diablo 3 does it too) avoid giving you the stats you need in order to keep you playing.
Now in season 4 is much worse.
This is not RNG at all.
