The Rise and Fall of Diablo.Trade - Goodbye Sanctuary Server

Hello Auction House!?

dupes… rmt… poor staff mgmt that does nothing. There’s accusations flying through the forums and thousands of posts being shut down. People are now even being banned for buying items on diablo.trade from known gold sellers and dupers being mistakenly attributed to those who buy gold/items…

The sanctuary server dropped from 1 mil on launch to nearly 500k. that alone should be an indicator of bad mgmt. have a blizz operated auction house or disable trade. The only people who would disagree with this are the staff who are profiteering off of that site. It’s a slap in the face to the diablo community that this site destroyed season 6 economy with rmt/dupes and scammers. They false advertise as the “official server” or the “official trade site”, yet none of this is true. The pez radar account in that server isn’t even real. It’s a fake account to bait people into thinking it’s legit. They had a nice scheme going for a little while, but all good things must come to an end. Hope they saved their profits from all the RMT they conducted.

Because there is nothing that can be done. Blizzard has nothing to do with the site. The system Blizzard has put in place for trading is horrid and offers nothing in the form of in-game functionality. Blizzard needs to correct this and there should be and in game trading system. Its only been asked for since day 1.

There is nothing that can be done? Blizard has nothing to do with that site?

What are you smoking? You literally log into that site with your battle.net ID and password.

That’s not even true that they have nothing to do with the site. They explicitly require you to link your battlenet ID to it.

Blizzard has complete control over what websites are/aren’t allowed to be linked to your account.

It’s an interesting moment in time when trades conducted on the well known site we can’t speak of are safer than diablo trade.

DIABLO® IV IS A TRADEMARK OR REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT, INC., IN THE U.S. AND/OR OTHER COUNTRIES. THIS WEBSITE I S NOT AN OFFICIAL PRODUCT, IS NOT AFFILIATED NOR SUPPORTED BY BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT®.

Read much?

See above sheepy.

Just because you authorize Blizzard to use a your ID it doesn’t mean jack unless your going to say now that Blizzard controls Twitch, steam and what ever other platform you can authorize battlenet as a connection. Sheesh.

Yes, that’s literally what I edited in above, to clarify. You think any website can just link to your blizzard ID without authentication on Blizzard’s side?

How do you think the internet works?

As a father of 2 iam happy to get my perfect gear on diablo trade with legit way :+1:

You don’t log into twitch with your battle.net id and password  I can see the beer is good for you on this friday night

Let me help you out one last time since reading is clearly not a strong point for you:

DIABLO® IV IS A TRADEMARK OR REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT, INC., IN THE U.S. AND/OR OTHER COUNTRIES.

Pay special attention to the bolded line.

Set the bottle down my friend. You clearly are out of your league here.

There isn’t any money in trying to fix it.

So long as people keep coming back to buy the battle pass and expansions you are saying you are fine with these being problems.

Problems are only problems when there is a noticeable loss of profits because of the problem.

I don’t disagree with you, that’s probably why the game has been dumbed down to a state of perpetual easy mode. This season was the easiest season to date. Level cap in 10 minutes lol. oof 150 fell maven achievement was practically a freebie this league. Sad to see it get to this state.

Makes sense, expansion season

Best time to get new players or those who haven’t played since like S3 (myself) to come back, buy the expansion, buy the battle pass get bored and quit.

I suspect the in between expansion seasons will be much more tailored towards the fans, not the one and done’s that will come for the expansions.

They’ll find some way to bring challenge back in S7+ until Paladin is released for $100 and 3 hours of content

I’ve seen you commenting on the “I got banned” threads so you know that’s not true. They clearly just did a ban waves with the number of those posts.

honestly i mainly see you making all the accusations and just a handful of others. is duping going on, sure. does diablo.trade have anything to do with it, no. personally id prefer if they never opened up trade like they did. but there was thread after thread about how important trade is in an arpg back in s0 and s1. you have some weird obsession with diablo.trade and are always on the forums talking negative about it. it seems personal.

diablo.trade is nothing more than “trade channel extension”. Trade tool which should be implemented in D4

Until is not typical and official RMT - Blizzard probably won’t do anything with that
And what about duppers? Illegal items? It’s not diablo trade fault. It is still only a tool
You can be scammed or gets dupped item even via trade chat in-game

If someone hurts anybody with a knife - who is responsible? Producer or someone who took a knife and stab someone?

Fixing it would take thought and effort. That alone ensures it will never happen.

Blizzard doesn’t care. The only reason they will care is if it cuts into their profits at which point they will create some kind of coin you can purchase that allows you to buy materials that have a chance at turning into an ideal piece of gear.
