I really enjoyed the game 1 to 50. I liked the story, the quests, gearing up. The bosses were challenging and it was fun.
It’s a week since launch. I finished the main story campaign at level 49, and started doing Whispers, world bosses and the zone events. Also doing the dungeons that have codex powers I need, although I have most the aspect from gear anyway. This is all still on T1.
I’ve unlocked the entire world map and have been hunting down the Altars of Lillith I still haven’t unlocked yet. Also doing the Strongholds just for giggles.
I’m now level 51. I tried the T2 Capstone dungeon and gave up after 4 enemies because they are taking barely any damage, even when I combo all my cooldowns. I am playing a ranged Rogue at the moment. I was able to play the entire first week using my own Barrage leveling build, but it’s clearly not end game worthy. I switched to an “end game” Penetration Shot build featured on Maxroll and although I am stronger in T1 overall, I feel my DPS is just terrible in T2. I can’t advance to the higher tiers.
The drops in T1 top out in the level 45 to 50 range so I’m not really getting any upgrades anymore.
Not sure what to do now. I really enjoyed playing a ranged class during launch week, but it seems the streamers playing Rogue are all melee and they are the ones having success. Should I try that and abandon what I personally want to play? Is there any viable end game ranged build for the only physical ranged class in the game?
Advice?
I like this, reminds me of Hell mode in D2. No problem with that.

Hell mode never slowed anyone down in D2.
I think the capstone is lvl 50? You can clear it to unlock world tier 3 for sacred rare drops. Then lvl 70 is another capstone dungeon to unlock world tier 4 for ancestral rares. Leveling is really slow though.
Honestly the XP rate after 50 is killing the game for me it’s just not fun to level this slow.
Making me hate the repetition of grinding since we have so little to do after campaign.

I managed to beat the capstone dungeon at 45 or 46 as a druid. But that’s because I found a bunch of legendaries that combo off one another - trample landslide, double landslides, earth skills have 20 percent chance to reduce cooldown of storm and vice versa.
Something good for ranged rogue would be split shot rapidfire leggo, anything that increases rapidfire attack speed and resource refund/generation. You can grab the stealth skill (upon breaking stealth you are gauranteed to have a crit), and combine that with your dodge passive skill (extra crit damage when you dodge), so that you can have a massive rapidfire on a short cooldown.
Ranged rogue has a ton of burst damage, I highly doubt it’s the class/spec fault but rather your items. You should list the legendaries you have.
So you are saying everyone had all resistances up and the damage on first hell play through? Yea go back to that hole you came out of son.
I just left Fractured Peaks for the first time (not counting one Barbarian quest where I ventured outside), after finishing the zone in almost 100%.
Now, I am heading to Dry Steppes. Level is 49. Playing on World Tier 2 since the start.
I will get to endgame content at very high level, I feel. So much fun ahead of me. Hours and hours, and days, before I finish the main campaign!
I am sorry that you rushed the main story and now feel that there is nothing to do.
