Pits need serious work.
7/10 of the listings in party finder are locked… no leaderboards, so why even prevent ppl from joining mid run? even then… why prevent it instead of just DQing the run?!
dead ends… AoZ didn’t have dead ends, or they were far far less common… why?!
two levels… if you’re going the greater rift route, go full greater rift. It’s the worst dead end to reach the end and realize you skipped too many mobs in level 1.
Glyph upgrade chance hard cap at 100… it feels sooo bad to run a 120 and still fail an upgrade in the 90s. This is exactly why I didn’t want this system. Admittedly I didn’t remember half of the good aspects of the system until I ran a pit… but I remembered the feeling of a failed upgrade. I get you probably don’t want people doing 120s while still leveling glyphs… but giving me a way to nullify a system I hate is how good gaming works.
I know you’re relearning some of the d3 lessons… It’s kind of funny to watch, but did you happen to give increased health mobs heavier weight in the progress bar to compensate for the time it takes to kill them? I can’t tell… but I am more focused on generating barrier than watching the bar.
If this is where we are expected to spend our time on the paragon grind… make it not suck. Or… idk… live up to your expressions and make all the activities equally xp rewarding so we actually have PLAYER CHOICE during the paragon grind.

bro you will run thousand of pit during 3 month each season why it bother you to have few miss. I literally farm my 5 glyph i need 0 to 100 in 4 hours…
the only best map for the Pit is that “colorado desert” wide area map.

Agree. Kill all the mobs and go straight to the Boss.

Omg that’s why all the parties are locked for Pit!? I just learned something new…all the locked parties are absolutely killing me as I’m trying to find groups to grind xp with
This has been my issue with d4 since day 1.
There are clear technical issues they didnt learn from d3 like being able to respec and change gear. How people can speed level with peope at the door which only can happen if there is one level on d3, usually there are multiple levels in play.
Just very odd stuff going on.
I completely agree with all points made here. Also, the pit becomes sickening to have to continually grind through it over and over gain to gain levels. All this grinding for a temporary toon that will be put on the shelf in 2 months time. I don’t mind the idea of a much longer grind than last season but this is way way too much of a commitment to get to the top of the paragon power race. It was like some developer just randomly decided it needed to be way more painful than D2 or any other ARPG out there. Please let me have time to level up and enjoy my alt toons. Or how about you give them a decent buff to semi-compete with the spiritborn / monks class.
Personally, the fail chance doesn’t bother me. Every single glyph is already at 100.
It’s easy to get them all to 100 when you’re running the spectacularly broken Spiritborn.
It’s definitely easier. But my Rogue isn’t struggling too much either. He’s pretty new but he’s catching up.
Don’t you mean “the pituation”?

Pits don’t need to work. The blizzard balance team needs to get to work. I honestly don’t care how busted SB is right now. But all the other classes are struggling at pit 75-100. Always had a problem with blizzard balancing team. Does it work well? mace to the face. Doesn’t work well? we will incrementally buff something that you don’t need it at all.
The failure chance isn’t a problem, eventually you will come to a point which you run a Pit without upgrade any glyph due to max out.
The only thing I do in game is to speed farm the glyph 110 for Ga aspect, I already max out all nodes days ago and I only pickup GA gears. The routine has become much simple nowadays.
