I have to do what some idiot behind a desk, who likely never even plays the game wants me to do now. I don’t get why it didn’t piss off anyone else. I normally play the pit to gain levels after hitting 60, but now am unable to do that until much later than necessary. Stupid design.
I don’t play 10 hours a day like alot of others so this hurts casual players very much.
Going to see about getting a refund on the expansion now.

Well after doing both capstone dungeons the pit did unlock. A learning curve. For anyone else that does not know. You must do the capstone dungeons in order for the next one to unlock so no skipping these.
I will admit at least they did at least give us 2 options, but I still don’t understand why they think that is better. Maybe they are going to phase out the pit altogether?

I cannot get into the pit until I have gotten a bunch of quests done under the seasons step 2. So I am now trying to figure out where all these places are. It should have been the same for everyone. That’s why I cant believe there wasn’t a post already. I just hit 60 last night and now cant do the pit yet.
I can see how that can be confusing. You don’t have to do every single quest in the season journey. You only have to do the capstone quest on the right of the page to unlock higher levels. Just hit view map button under the capstone quest and it will show you where the dungeon is and you can teleport to it. If you are level 60 then those should be easy to complete.
I’ve unlocked all the capstones and there are still TONS of quests in lower tiers I haven’t done and likely never will.
I think we are talking about 2 different things here. I am now doing the season Quest under 2. When I hit U that comes up and I just finished step 1 and now am working on step 2.
I am not trying to do capstone dungeons. I am only trying to do the necessary steps to open the pit in Cerrigar.
Nope we are talking the same exact thing. When you hit U and open up your seasson journey and look at tier 2, look to the right and you will see …
“Complete Hellish Descent (monster olv 59 - Pentient) to earn reward and unlock access to Rank III”
That is a capstone dungeon. Hit view map and it will show you where it is and you can teleport to it. You don’t have to do any of those other objectives on the left of the screen to advance.
The capstone will be considered done, but if you want to do the other objectives you can. You won’t be held back from higher difficulty for not doing them. I ve done all the capstones and still haven’t completed all the objectives in tiers 3, 4 and 6. My character is in torment 4 and at paragon 240.
So this whole thing started because I am not able to enter the pit right now. I am standing right in front of it and it says that I must complete the original campaign. On Eternal realm reach level 60, On season realm complete season rank II in U seasons.
I still cannot get in the pit, I am level 60 p26.
This has never happened in any of the previous seasons that I have playe d in d4 and have been here since the start. I just am not good enough to get to lv 60 in one day.
So did I mess something up when I started, or are we playing 2 different games?
EDIT: I am currently going through the list under step2. But I will try the capstone dungeon thing to see if that unlocks the pit for me.
I think you mean before level 60. Whenever you complete the 2nd capstone is when you unlock the Pit. You can go in as early as level 1 if you get carried through the capstone dungeons. Although just being carried through them would give you exp anyway and level you up some.
It says on the login screen I am in seasonal. And I just double checked with Slaydra video. I have no capstone dungeon in scosglen, where he shows on the map. So now I am really confused.
