Can we please at least stop the timer as soon as we get to the final boss? Because some classes dont have single target high dps and its literally impossible to kill the boss, Im just silent in cases when you accidentally die…

The pits are designed to be the final endgame content right now. They are meant to be difficult to push players and their builds. Also I might add there’s nothing beyond The Pits, and their only purpose is to get materials for master working, so you can upgrade your gear to tackle higher level pits.
That’s it. If you can’t currently kill bosses because you have a more AoE focused build, or your damage isn’t good enough, or whatever reason that just means you have to adjust. Assuming you want to push further of course.
They call this class diversity. You need to ask them what is the new definition of it.
I agree with you all IF we have class balance, but in fact we dont. Necros do pit lvl 100 but can you do it with Sorc or Rogue?
The answer is no
The timer is the point. It’s a DPS/skill check.
A better solution would be to go back to basics with the designs of Rogue and Sorc, because they are both sorely in need of significant overhauls now that various assumptions that went into the creation of those classes are no longer true.

Classes should never be compared to each other, imo.
Level 90+ now with fire sorc, maybe can push to 100 but is boring as I have to grind slowly up and I realize I will never catch up with Necro so no point trying. But there will be no more damage I can put in my gear to beat the timer above 100. I think the boss timer removal is good idea as we cant swap gear in PIT. Sorc always has issue of one build good for clearing mobs and another build for boss. The develop understood this issue therefore AOZ do not have boss, just the bloodseeker as they heard Wujido feedback that boss took too long time to kill in D3. Now they are going backward with boss and add the shadow oneshot thing which waste a lot of your time hiding behind pillars instead of dps boss.

Wouldn’t it be harder to stay alive longer with low DPS? That in and of itself should be a challenge. Go try to kill Uber Lilith with all Defensive Gear and low damage. Compare that to having extremely High Damage and medicore Defense. Which is harder? If it takes you 20 minutes to clear a Pit Boss…so?
Your open to your opinion but D3 was great. Delivered exactly what casual gamers wanted.
D4 is becoming more n more like D3 which is a good thing

Both of those classes have builds that can clear pit 100. Blizzard Sorcs and Heartseeker Rogues. Wudijo even did that rogue pit 100 clear on hardcore mode.
I’m also not sure why you are comparing pits with other classes as they don’t compete against each other.
blizzard introduced timers in m+ in wow, and in greater rifts in d3, and both modes were badly received when you look at player retention in both games during their respective eras of introducing timers and annoying affixes for those instances.
Its not because d3 had timers in rifts rifts that it was a good thing to begin with.
I couldnt care less about it adding a sense of difficulty for some players. I can be at max difficulty and one shot every mob and still think the timer is bad. Its just bad design thats not very creative.
