It’s just a reoccurring theme I’m noticing. The people in here playing damage control for Blizzard obviously don’t enjoy Diablo 4 as much as they say they do. Or they would be in game and not on the forums.
Those of us who are upset-- we’re here because we have valid criticisms about a product we love but which is being neglected.
The people playing damage control? They’re just here to feed off the negative emotion. It’s pretty disgusting behavior, yet they play the moral high ground consistently, acting like we’re all bad people for having standards and expectations. Meanwhile they’re in here being emotional vampires and trying to get a rise out of people who are rightfully pissed off.
And they never have a coherent argument. They just repeat garbage like “first world problems” as if that means we can’t have any standards whatsoever. Like yeah, there’s always going to be someone worse off than I am-- does that mean I just have no standards in life? Get a grip on reality, jeez.
Amen to that!! What more will it take for blizzard to wake up? The entire right hand side of the forum, where they post the Top Conversations, are all reflecting negatively on this patch! If I was GD or on the team I would be panicking. Its like they enjoy have a pissed off player base.
There’s been a trend from the Blizzard developers for quite a few years now where they appear to look down on their consumers. They think they know best-- I mean hell, don’t you guys have phones?!
I see it across all their platforms. It’s like somewhere in their hiring practices they seek out over-confident narcissists. Look at how they reacted to the idea of Classic WoW originally. “You think you want that, but you don’t” with a smug look on his face…
I’m done being a masochist. I’ve said it before but I think this is actually the nail in the coffin for me. Their balance team clearly has no idea what they’re doing-- and like, I understand the Vulnerability nerf. Vulnerability was a bit much. BUT HOW DIDN’T THEIR BALANCE TEAM RECOGNIZE THAT MONTHS AGO?!
But for me the real slap in the face is the lack of QOL features. The fact that we don’t even have a journal to see which quests we’ve completed-- is this a small indie developer or one of the largest gaming companies ever to exist? I genuinely can’t tell.
I grew up on Diablo. It’s one of the few games I got to enjoy with my father before he passed. I’m pissed. They’re destroying this franchise and ignoring their fans for what? Why? Because of hubris? Because they think they know best?
People say this all the time…“you’d be playing it and not on the forums!”

In 2023, most people have what are called a “smart phone”. It allows people to access the internet when they are away from their personal computer or gaming console, because it is portable. It can be used at work, or when out of town, or any time you don’t have access to the device where the game is installed.
See, the forums are on what is called a “website”. This is accessible via the “internet”. Thusly, it is accessible on the smart phone; whereas the game is not installable on a smart phone.

I mean, that’s the reality dude. No one likes these changes. Just people that have “1192 posts” on the Diablo 4 forums.
This is obviously a job for you on some level. You probably don’t get paid, but damn man-- you’re extremely invested here.
The game has been out how long? I’m really not going to do the math, but you must be posting dozens of comments every single day to reach 1200 posts. Nah, you know what fam-- I’m doing the math;
The game has been out for a month and a half. Let’s say 45 days. You have 1200 posts. That’s 26 posts every single day on average. You have a hobby for sure-- and it isn’t playing Diablo 4.
Like I said above, the people defending this garbage clearly don’t enjoy the game themselves.
The reality is that I believe everyone that actually plays the game is not happy with this. The few forum warriors defending it mean nothing to me. They’re likely astroturfers or just trolls.
So yeah… I’m saying “no one likes this game! Look! It’s nothing but complaints and no one is Defending it!” either way.

Nah I wouldn’t dare log into eternal after seeing that crap I’m sure it’s not fun. I have a sorc maxed out already so I stopped playing a few weeks ago. Just really hope these nerfs were to make up for the power you’ll get from the corrupted gem things in the new season. Still looking forward to playing a Druid but I guess we will see how it goes!
Definitely feel bad for people who don’t want to participate in the seasons though so far. Can’t speak on seasonal servers yet
Right, I am quite literally on break at work, but according to this genius, I should be spending every waking moment in a Nightmare Dungeon. Just an absurd set of arbitrary rules he has invented on the fly.
Stop buying the mtx stuff, and tbh they keep this stuff up and the player base is going to be so pitiful that only the whales will be left to keep them supported.
Because I pointed out bias? Come on let’s not over analyze it. We know YOU aren’t happy. It’s human nature to not acknowledge people who disagree with you when you personally aren’t happy.
