The ONLY way I ever quit Diablo

I’ve been playing this series since 1997. In D1 I could drop items for friends. In d2 I could trade. In d3 we had an AH until they removed it(which at that time moved me back to d2.)

Then D4 came. At launch I hated it… then Trading became more reasonable.

Now, we have a playerbase that hates the trading and for me personally trading and seasons are the only reason I play anymore and getting rid of either one might be the mail in the coffin for me.

So you are not really interested in playing the game. Trading is the game you play. Sorry but trading only invites undesirables to ruin the experience for everyone. You don’t need to trade to play the game. I guess you can go back to D2…

Yes I’m interested in a social economy. I’m not anti-social.

trade has nothing to do with being social

So being able to give your buddies items isn’t social? Point of clans then? Just carry people? Good way to get the RMT guys pockets loaded even more.

People already doing carries for rmt. Get rid of trading and then half the population will be paying for runs so they can gear themselves.

We going to get rid of parties and friending too cause of those rmts?

trade is what loads the rmt pockets. getting rid of it would take away a huge portion of their income. sure some people would pay for runs, but those would be drastically less. if you dont understand that i am guessing you are just an rmt’er that is trying to come up with halfbaked theories to ensure you can continue to rmt

Dude rmters are also plvling too. Get rid of that too then.

I’m saying if I can’t help my wife or son what is the point? Seems wack.

Haven’t played in a few seasons but can’t you trade with players you are playing with? Are they taking that out?

I used to hate Seasonal theme but it’s just Ladder from D2 renamed and I’m good with it.

Trading however, not so much of a fan of it. Not to say it should go away, it serves its purpose and I may even trade one day when I actually have less time to play during the Season.

My only gripe is that the Trade channel is just infested with tons of gold farming bots spamming and cluttering the chat window. If Blizzard is competent enough to actually monitor their trade chats, it’ll be a lot more bearable.

For now, I just turn off trade chat, but given we don’t have a ‘global’ chat, turning trade chat limits most of its social aspect.

Oh well.

Not yet. People want it out cause idiots are exploiting it.

U can carry them and let them get their own loot drop. I do think it’s reasonable to be able to trade loot between party members for each group run.

I mean. I play mostly with family 90% of the time.

Problem is you know rmt guys also Plvl for money. It’s super common too. I feel like this “get rid of it” mentality can be a slippery slope.

Then D3 trading rules. You can trade between party members. No need for an AH.

Good idea. It will still get exploited by RMT though. They just gotta party with people. Easy since they already Plvl people for money.

just play pd2, way better than any game in diablo series.

You absolutely can. I do it all the time with my clan.

Why do you keep making threads about this?

The ‘‘social economy’’ you talk about is basically this:

  1. X Item.
  2. Dude says ‘‘2B for X item’’.
  3. You add the dude and do the trading.
  4. ‘‘TY’’ message.
  5. Either you or the dude deletes friend because otherwise friendlist would be full of unknown dudes.

Sure you might have made 1 or 2 ‘‘buddies’’ from trading, but please don’t tell us that you do it for the social because there is no ‘‘social’’ involved in trading. People want the item as fast as possible to face the ‘‘bricked item followed by anger phase’’ as soon as they can.

If we stick to the actual meaning of that, that would be sarcasm coming from an account with 2600 posts in a forum.

Don’t know what to tell you. I play this game solo 99.9 percent of the time and have NO interest in trading. I have one friend that pops on from time to time and I have no trouble trading him items. I play arpgs because I prefer to play solo. If you prefer being social and trading with others then I would recommend sticking with MMOs.

The worst part of all this, those in coffins can’t read the mail anyway.
