The one thing that ruined the game completely for me

There is LOTS to complain about, I think most if not everybody here can agree on that.

However the thing that makes me literally DREAD the game and had me go back to Overwatch 2 is the fact that the “social life” in this game is a still birth.

There is NO interaction with other players, no chat, no trading, no group finding for dungeons, NOTHING.

World bosses are a mere peeing contest to show off who has the biggest (equipped character) but no actual memorable encounter and the occasional “running into people in the overworld” has as many downsides as positives (arriving at event just closing vs. being saved by someone randomly walking by) but the thing I really hate the most is lack of interaction.

I mean… I literally prefer playing Overwatch2 which is the carcass of its former glory back when “Overwatch” actually was an ambitional creation with papa Jeff posting regular updates giving a feeling of “they care”.
Overwatch2 nowadays is dishing out reports for minutes when you encounter the occasional racist/homophobe/completely random toxic person which you WILL meet every other game or so, but STILL dealing with the reports and having that one in five games two line conversation with someone random is better than what we have here.

This is not a thread cheering for Overwatch2 though, I am sad and angry about what Diablo4 SHOULD have become.

This is not it.

More than anything, I want the ability to set my game to private so I don’t have to deal with other players unless I want to.

no global chat is a deal breaker for me…

WHY are you guys surprised??? This is D3.5

D3 was a horrible game, no trading means no economy = doa

D3 has a far superior chat / social network than this game.

They REALLY flopped on this.

Online, multiplayer games are social first; they are a chat room with a mindless activity to do.

This game fails extremely hard at that; to boot, the game is dull.

To be fair, I really want global chat and matchmaking but also like… When I see in game characters with names like Womanizer, a few racist ones and a couple that were too explicit to want to type out, I’m starting to wonder if it’s for the best… It’s not just Overwatch.

Blizzard games just seem to be a home for gross people.

You know, it feels kind of bad when people playing the game through for the first time don’t want me around because I delete their challenge. I remember feeling that way too when I was their level. To be fair though, that’s their problem for getting boosted through capstone. They shortened the life of their game.

I wish they had one here so you didn’t have to even chat with anyone here. But i see you love to go into others chats and stir $hit up. Where is that button to block you. I will find it.

Please do, or simply stop reading my posts. Either way works for me.

If i hear someone spaming “Look” One more time…

What is your method of doing this activity? How do you tell them apart exactly? You just sound like an extremist.

Please don’t feed the troll, report and move on.

That’s fair.

That’s the part that will get you rightfully banned.

We don’t want to interact with you. We want a single player game. Why must every game be a social experience for you people now?

When they showed us the beta I thought to myself, damn this look good, at the time assuming that I see only 10-20% of what’s in game.
What I didn’t realize is that I see 85% of what’s in game, now that we are in the paid beta, i am not very hopeful that this game will get any better than what d3 is at the moment.

You should really learn to speak for yourself, it makes you look ten times more mature. That’s a scientifically researched number.

I see you use scientifically researched numbers as well, thank you.

We are using the royal we. Peasant.

I agree that OW2 has much better in-game communications. However, it’s also easier to encounter toxic try-hards who blame everyone else for their personal ineptitude.

That’s what reports are for.
