Can we please get a solo mode or an instance/personal shard of the game that does not have to load other players constantly?
Everytime more then 2 people show up on my screen that are not in my party my entire game is locking up for at least 3 seconds if not outright crashing. Everything else in the game runs fine even with all the mobs and spells going off so i know its not an issue with CPU or GPU, its ONLY with network.
Can we please get a proper solo mode, i dont play diablo to play with random people.

Tell me about it… you would think they would have fixed the rubber banding and lagging issue from previous versions. What lessons learned did they take … today is June 19, 2023 at 1321 hours (1:21PM) and I am experiencing it with Cross Play Disabled. Its starting to become discouraging to continue playing.
And the recommendation of playing on off peak is nonsense who wants to play at 3am I bought it I should play when I want all these suggested recommendations to turn off functions or features is ridiculous they just need to fix it.

The lag, the CC, the hitbox issues…all combining to make combat feel clunky across the board. I even have issues where my skills wont even attack where my cursor is sometimes. Like legit I fire away from the mob while my cursor is behind the mob im aiming for.
The games clunky, there I said it. The smooth snappy awesome combat feel in D3 isnt here.

Im having that issue with casting shouts, ill have times i can cast all my shouts back to back no issue and other times im sitting there hitting my number 2 button and nothing is happening.
…bro he is not even talking about a specific build, what are you on about?
Was ment for different topic. On this Post they mentioned it and are activly looking into it and fixing it. Consoles you configure for the top 3 machine PC theres 1000s of different combos. Its blizzard they will fix FPS issues. If one thing their good at is getting the smoothness in their games at least for my setup lol.
Been noticing something about players showing up as well. When I lag does that mean some player is nearby?
I play hardcore so I hardly ever see players in open world which is sad.
I think there are instances of open world as well, because showing up to legion event early your likely to be in the instance with players waiting there. Rather than showing up late and no one is there and maybe someone comes eventually.
This lag related?
Also, I think this game messes up your GPU, I use AMD, I keep getting crash messages now, even when I’m not playing Diablo4.

I have heard serious complaints by a few people about lag. I haven’t experienced it myself outside of when servers are dying, which hasn’t been for a while. I’m not sure whats causing the lag for these people.

I think its using the sharding/phaseing system from warcraft where you will effitivly join shard/phase A, which players xyz are on, when you get a given distance away from them, you transition out of phase A and might phase into a new phase when you are around players.
All i know is that the issue only happens when there are large amounts of players exiting and entering an area in the open world. Cities lags bad when entering and exiting, but these seems to be single phases that everyone is in at once.
likely something between point a (them) and point b (servers) if it was purely servers everyone would be affected.
Or it’s not internet lag, but gfx lockups which would be on their end entirely

Its not GFX related because the game will run with zero issues, pulling like 40+ mobs with all the graphical effects going at once and it runs buttery smooth.
Its definitely something related to the servers or the connection to them, because i dont experience this type of issue with any other game. If i invite people to my party it runs fine as well, they dont cause me any lag issues, so its not a matter of connection to the server as in instability, lag, or dropped connections.
The issue only happens when changing phases or shards in which new people are spawning in and out of, its notably bad during helltides and when leaving the cities.

so likely something in the connection between you and the server, that sucks, you could try a vpn to get around it.
Feel like that would make the issue only worse at that point.
If we say that the server is point C, and im Point A, the issue has to be point B between A and C, i suppose maybe a VPN Might work if it completely circumvents point B? But still its odd because its ONLY this game and ONLY when people are phasing in and out.
Thats why i think its something on the server thats doing this.
if it were the server everyone would experience it, which is why it’s likely related to the routing to the server which vpns change
Yeah it’s an incompetence problem, the game works perfectly fine in solo dungeons. But out in the world good luck and hope you don’t die because of the disgusting amount of lag

Out of our group of about 15/20 players no one has any lag issues in the world
People are quick to blame servers when it’s likely packet loss, i’ve had MANY issues with wow lag caused not by the servers, but by some connection between us and the servers
Yet as i have been saying, no other game has this lag issue at all, in any way, none of blizzards other games lag like this for me. its ONLY diablo 4.

Haven’t had any issues. Try turning off crossplay or checking your system / network. It’s not a game / server issue, clearly just on your end.
Ill be honest i did not know they had crossplay enabled by default, ill try turning that off and seeing how it reacts.
I heard people experiencing the lag say that everyone should do this “because the game is so laggy with it on”
but again, this hasn’t caused me any such issues so its definitely not a global cause.
