hello, I did not play season 5… wondering if you can still Craft these? the drop rate seems bugged! I cannot get these to drop anywhere. any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Indeed the drop rate does seem bugged.
As in, they drop too often. I have a stash-tab full of 10-wave compasses. I just salvage the rest. I am swimming in these things.

Are you in torment difficulty? Have to ask just to make sure.
yes, I’m in torment 3… is the drop rate that rare?
Shouldn’t be. Found mine all over. Helltides, NMD, even Pits. I think there’s a tribute that drops them too? Don’t quote me on that though. Assuming you have the expansion of course.
There’s also a seething realm that drops them as well.
Get them in whispers too.

Compasses mostly drop from the Pit. And from chests in Helltide I guess.
If you lvl your glyph to the maximum of your capability, you should have more compass than what you can hold. Try to join the hordes via party finder, so you can use other’s compass. Hordes is less efficient to play solo, as more players stand at four side of the map can boost the aether gain. You should only play Hordes solo if Blizzard introduce scarecrow in the game 
Very frequent in Tree Whisper Bounties… I find enough to discard everything but the 10 rounders.
For me they seem the most common in whisper caches
Id say the most liekly way to get some realatively quickly is:
Do Realm walkers, get Seething Opal of Torment, pop them and run whisper activities in helltides, pop helltide chests and turn in whispers.
Alternately if you like group play just try the group finder or /trade to get some IH runs with people who already have enough compasses
