The Hand of Naz - Remove Silly Skeletal Arch-Mage Prequalifier

I would like to suggest for the unique gloves The Hand of Naz to completely remove the silly Skeletal Arch-Mage prequalifier of attacking 25 times. Instead just give it by default for equipping the gloves as follows…

The Hand of Naz

  • Current
    • When a Skeletal Mage attacks enemies 25 times without dying it upgrades to a Skeletal Arch-Mage.
  • Proposed
    • When The Hand of Naz is equipped, Skeletal Mages are upgraded to Skeletal Arch-Mages.

I agree. I thought of the same exact proposed change.

Where i can get these gloves on the PTR? Inside the class unique chest its not.

And their attacks should do x100% increased damage all the time, not just occasionally.

Agreed, I think having a silly prequalifier on a unique is completely unnecessary.

Gamble. Makes a lot of sense to ask us to try the new stuff out and then we have to gamble for it.

It’s quite funny if you think about it.

This. 100% agree.

The 25 attacks is just a usless delay to the item, and adds usless code to the items functing.

Oh and the “sometimes” ekstra damage shoud be based off lucky hit… it would make it more interesting, and it would give players a way to invest in the item, to make it proc more often.(now that minions are supposed to inherit lucky hit chance)

On top of this, minions should prefer to target enemies you’re actively attacking. Having mages get hit, teleport away and start blasting something you’re actively trying to ignore really limits the potential of this build.

When The Hand of Naz is equipped, Skeletal Mages are upgraded to Skeletal Arch-Mages.

Yes please, this is a great suggestion! And they have to fix Skeletal mage skill bonus, it doesn’t work. Had +9 in the skeletal mage from the gloves, but I did not recieve the bonus on the skill tree.

Yes, extra damage should be based off lucky hit as it makes item more interesting.
