The game is still in beta! its not a 70$ title

feels like a beta and costs 70$ for

  1. bad city design each vendor and stash is so far away from each other its just ridiculous!
  2. NON STOP clipping through the map cant move and cant tp to enemies near me only option is to restart the game so say bye bye to the 10minutes you spend in a dungeon to kill all enemies !
  3. dungeon design is horrible almsot every dungeon has huge amount of backtracking stupid non skipable dialog for in dungeon events that take way too long and heavily gear dependent
  4. Open world game that doesn’t share itself with your other characters so everything is undiscovered on a second character which is stupid and just there to waste your time
  5. Most of the enemies in the game are designed around ranged characters and melee need to run after them while they run away and attack you (not fun at all)
  6. CC in this game is ridiculous with every piece of gear with less CC duration and only 1 skill with unstopable that has 15sec cooldown (with 28% cooldown on my gear) i was legit stuck in place for more then 15seconds !
  7. Nightmare dungeons are crap most of the stats are not difficult they are just annoying that you can do nothing about for example the blind mechanic which is completely stupid why would you put something that makes my character not attack especially for a melee character that needs to be close to deal damage jesus christ !
  8. Blind mechanic in general is crap should be removed from the game it makes playing a melee character a chore !
  9. Lack of AOE in this game for some classes , if you give us an objective to clear all enemies you should at least give us an AOE stat on gear that’s the minimum i ask for.
  10. Helltides are a lazy implementation and forced on the player to do for the forgotten souls that come with it they should drop from dungeon bosses too even if only 1 per dungeon !
  11. World bosses die in less then 30 seconds and give almost no rewards they should be alot harder and alot more rewarding for the challenge !
  12. Monster density in dungeons is bad some of the dungeons are nearly empty with couple of beasts and tree monsters in them and that’s it that should be fixed and buffed overall
  13. Paragon board should have preset slots for gold and a reset all points button !
  14. Stash tabs need to be bigger and more of them minimum is 10 stash tabs for a game like that IMO
  15. Inventory could use another row or 2 of slots and an inventory especially for gems and another for sigils and a seperate one for elixirs !
  16. If you want us to pick up all lilith statues every season you should at least sell a map for around 100k gold in one of the vendors that show you their location
  17. renown needs to be lowered it feels like a chore at least for the last one that rewards paragon points
  18. Gems are useless at some point of the game make a recipe for them to make something i have over 400 of them already and nothing else to do with them !
  19. When crafting sigils it would be nice to choose the Dungeon you want to craft a sigil for that way it wont feel like its fishing for a good layout dungeon and we can have fun with our game !
  20. Make bosses harder in dungeons and maybe more rewarding (can drop forgotten souls)

I still consider the game finished since its possible to finish the campaign and then play after the game even so yeah, could use more work but its still a finished product.

I forgot to add that campaign has no repeatability values to it , no exclusive fun missions or moments that makes me feel like i want to re feel what i felt when i played it , its just dungeons with the occasional normal boss fight other then lilith and ashava near the end it was extremely blend experience they know it themselves that why they have the skip campaign button on a second character NO REPEATABILITY = bad game design there are alot of games with an amazing story that going through them again feels good although you know what is going to happen .

It is not 70$ it is 100$ + cash shop. But we are talking about Blizzard here, Diablo 4 is still their least embarrassing product in the last few years.
If they cared about the game even a little bit they would have put at least some grindable endgame skin / content instead of making their players pay even more for this unfinished embarrassment, they don’t care about gaming anymore.

Cosmetics do drop within the game i’ve found a couple even at the start of the game in WT1/2, I even got the Butchers cleaver as a mount cosmetic from one of the butchers i fought

You seem to missunderstood its not about making it easier its about blizzard confusing difficulty and annoying game design !

I played path of exile for years as well as darksouls and elden ring and lost ark these games need actual knowledge and skill for some encounters diablo just throws annoying mechanics at you like blind and slow and other forms of CC with annoying objectives .

Quality of life is needed in this game

That’s exactly the type of attacks the other games throw at you too, Lost ark is exactly the same, Darksouls and Elden ring you don’t even have time to react most of the time the mobs just 1 shot you

While one shots mechanics are in most of these games non of them CC you for more then 15 seconds or blind you so your character stop to function at a basic level of attacking .

It seems that this game is poorly tweaked to the point of being annoying , i used all the tools the game gave me to reduce CC duration and still had my character legit sit there for 15 sec CC chain almost every 4 or 5 dungeons

plus ill add that one shot mechanics usually there with an objective in mind if you fail the mechanic you get one shotted plus its an MMO talking about lost ark RN .

There are skills to get out of cc though in D4, for Sorc you have basically 3 if you want from what my build has can either proc teleport while cced or one of the armor buffs.

I added it to the posts that i made i used it and still got cc right after but the skill has 15sec cooldown and in this time the mobs do CC me anyways although i dont stand in the crap some mobs just freeze on hit or knock down on hit

Plus not all classes are equal in that matter , i play melee you play ranged that’s another advantage i dont have i play rogue melee and barb

d4 isn’t perfect. I’m sure things will be adjusted over time. I like poe as well and it definitely isn’t perfect. it also sells you quality of life improvements. I didn’t play poe at launch but i heard it was rough as well and took a long time to become the mega success it is now. D4 is starting strong.

That’s why i make these kinds of posts i dont want the game to fail but i know for a fact that even blizzard fixes half of the things i complained about the game is undeniably will be better to play i want the game to succeed but they have to know what is wrong with it to be able to fix it

    1. It’s stunning to see so many people not understand why vendors and the stash are so far away from each other. Would it really be better to have all players stand in the same place for selling, transmog, enchanting etc? Or would you rather they just removed cities and made everything a menu?

    1. There’s already less backtracking than before and honestly I just observe the dungeon structure and “backtrack” before I get to the end to keep it to a minimum. I don’t have a problem with it. Would you rather have a completely linear experience?
    1. I want each character to have a separate journey. It also helps you see where you’ve already been on that char.
    1. I find melee to be more satisfying than ranged in this game, so I guess it’s very subjective.

    1. Renown is fine as it is because additional skill points/potions/max obols/paragon points are shared with all characters on each realm. Only exp and cash are unlocked per character. Do you think blizzard wants people to unlock everything in one or two weeks? Seasons will be 3 months long.

I dont want them to be stacked near each other but if you look at Diablo 3 or even diablo 2 city design is much better in terms of travel between vendors /stash ETC its just doesn’t feel good to travel so long in town to clear your inventory and check for items instead of playing the game killing monsters and stuff like that .

Yeah i know they kinda fixed it but some dungeons still have a horrible design and for a game that its endgame has alot of dungeon grinding i would say that for the first few its ok with some backtracking but after a while it becomes old and takes away the gameplay loop flow and for your question i dont want a completely linear experience but some farther tweaking would be extremely nice to keep gameplay loop and flow interesting becuase i dont think walking through already explored areas in dungeons without any monsters is interesting or fun for anyone

  1. So an option for shared experiance would be nice to have for those who dont want to find all waypoints again

  2. i feel the same that’s why i play 2 melee characters one is barb the other is rogue (melee build) and having a blast untill i have to chase some ranged ghosts around

  3. lilith statures are a chore what did you feel while picking all 150 up because all i felt oh man i wish i could play the game instead of picking these things up

I am glad you are enjoying pimping out your mount, but it is embarrassing to open the weekly refreshing shop, thinking how awesome it would be to have some of that design effort focused on the game.
I am lvl80 and I am maxed out on skins or rather rags compared to the paid versions.

There is a lot missing in the game. But you also have to be honest. The game is worth $70. You have to compare the time played with the price, not how many features are included in the game.
