The game awards

D4 is nominated for two awards. Best ongoing and innovation in accessibility. I think it was nominated last year for accessibility. Anyway what’s everyones thoughts on these two nominations?

Hard to access do to all the crashes people are having.

Doesn’t sound like the best awards to be nominated for, but good luck to them.

Our thoughts are irrelevant. Just depends on how much advertising MS buys whether D4 gets recognition or not. Zero faith in the integrity of the game awards.

Ooooh boy. Where is Exiled? He was convinced D4 was gonna win GotY last year.

what makes this all more hilarious is that d4 isnt nominated for GotY this year even tho they added the option for DLCs/expansions to be eligible for GotY

Cant wait to see what Exiled has to say.

I think the game really does do a good job of accessibility. I have seen individuals with difficulties of some varying types be able to play this game as close to seamlessly as you can get for those individuals.

 Is that true? Interesting.

I honestly think their accessibility options are actually really good. Although to be fair I have nothing to compare it to either, other then maybe the new Monster Hunter beta I tried out, which has amazing accessibility options if we’re being honest.

Highly doubtful it would win Best Ongoing though, I mean let’s be real here.

Accessibility as far as Controller Support is almost spot on. There’s a few things I would change but mostly its good.

Innovation; I don’t really see this one. At launch I would have agreed but its not the same game now.

“Expansion packs, new game seasons, DLCs, remakes and remasters are eligible in all categories, if the jury deems the new creative and technical work to be worthy of a nomination.”

Kinda blew me away. Geoff really doesnt want not-Persona to win GotY so they decided to let Elden Ring DLC in.

They won’t win unless they pay someone off.

The definitely deserve an award for the accessibility of dupes.

You guys keep saying that like it’s some widespread issue when it obviously isn’t.

I was honestly hoping Dragon Age: Failguard would win game of the year due to all the activist gaming “””journalists”””. I guess either they figured out or someone in authority told them that would be bridge too far and would incinerate whatever credibility they and the gaming awards my have left.

Of the one’s nominated Monkey Man game is probably the best choice. I don’t like the idea of a DLC winning.

How tf would this game win an award? Biggest let down since beta? Most dupes per player? Most unbalanced game? Most people leaving per season? lowest Google score per dollar spent?

Probably because not everyone is Blizzard’s toxic fanbase that does nothing but cry on the forums non stop. You guys aren’t really indicative of anything nor are you as relevant as you think.

Seeing this game beat FFXIV for best community support would he hilarious though. I’m a fan of FFXIV, but any chance to take it’s self righteous, smug fans down a notch should be taken.

i think it has actually good chances to win in the accessibility category,
but best ongoing? it’s the weakest of the nominees there imo.

I won’t comment on accessibility since I don’t know what to compare but besides that this game does not deserve any awards. This season. Season 7 could be a complete 180 in which case ya let the awards rain.

FFXIV Dawntrail was a real stinker, the only people defending it are the uber fanboys and a lot of LGBT activist fans who feel compelled to defend it because the (horrible) main character is voiced by a trans.
