So i played season 2 , i finished the seasonal journey , got to lvl 100 HC rogue , killed Lilith cleared lvl 100 nightmare dungeon , killed all uber bosses , got my doom bringer sword and i was quite surprised that the game felt different but in a good way. Then i went back to ethernal softcore to farm some uber items there , i got andariel and doombringer and camped the PVP zone all day hoping that someone will come.
So after all of that and knowing what is coming with season 3 , lets see how we can make the game better and going in the right direction NOT just on the pve side.
Blizzard made a huge mistake ignoring PVP in diablo 3 and not releasing the pvp arenas that later were put in the game as a pve content , because it didnt like the balance.This is the 1st thing , DO NOT ignore pvp , for alot of people this is the end game.
Why else you would farm all of these items for? There is nothing to kill or to achieve , the leaderboard for the gauntlet in season 3 sound the same as that weekly rift in diablo 3 were everyone has the same rift with the same build and resets every week and quess what … no one cares about it.
PVE is very important for Diablo 4 , we are still in vanilla stage were the game is bare bones , but if we had an actual PVP content like the battlegrounds in d immortal with a search function , or a mode were you can join a server that you can only enter in the PVP zones and you cannot leave , with more rewards , i would love a mode like that , or even add more pvp zones that are separete from the open world and you know how many players are in it , so you dont waste your time , trying to find anyone. Also PVP leaderboard is a must , for every class , also dont be shy to make it enabled for both seasonal and ETHERNAL players ,and also arenas for hardcore players that would be alsome were they can fight and their death does not count , like the brawl arena in diablo 3. Look at the d immortal PVP system and steal as much as you can , because PVP there is the main activity for all the top clans and players.
Speaking of clans , make clans important , clans leaderboard , clan wars , clan activities , clan with a leader , captains , lieutenants and so on.
Social system like chats , search functions for groups , bosses , future dungeons that will replace this crap content that you call nightmare dungeons , they have to go , you know it , i know it , everyone knows it , the current 120 dungeons in the game just take too much disk space , delete them and forget about them , or use them as example of what not to make in future. rescue me , collect some balls , kill all enemies ,blocking your way so u can kill more trash mobs just so you can click on two stupid levers , o i walk into a room by accident , now i have to sit here for 2 min killing waves of trash mobs , cuz they are added to the kill all enemies task, same with those chests and pylons … all of that needs to be deleted from the game.
I will not go into the itemisation and the lack of rune words and all the other problems that you know the game have , but in terms of PVP and PVE , DO NOT ignore the PVP community , they exist , they are the-best and most hardcore of all players that play your game for years , all they need is to not be forgotten.
Nobody cares about pvp in diablo games. I enjoyed the rundown on what you have been up to, though.
pvp has always been ignored. This is the only thing where there is always a new challenge and a reason to improve. the game itself, including the Uber boss, will take a few days for a big players, and what about the rest of the season? I’m glad that people are interested in pvp. I also hope that one day Blizzard will focus on pvp.
If you would like to engage in PvP where it’s a little more balanced based on how much money you have in your wallet might I suggest Diablo Immortal. D4 developers currently have no plans to adjust, fix, or balance PVP, how do we know this? Let’s go after some Facts.
- Upon talking about PvP Joseph P. has stated PVP is not meant for honor, it is not meant to be fair, and they won’t be making any changes to it.
- In every Live Stream/Campfire to date, PVP has never been mentioned, not once.
- In every patch PVP mechanics, aside from how to exploit the dropping of hatred shards, has never been addressed. Poison Rogues ran rampant, Lightning Ball Sorcs just teleport on top of people, the list goes on.
Blizzard has the numbers of players who actively engage in pvp on a regular basis, no doubt they are small, abysmally small or they would actually put time and effort into changing it. At most I would expect more cosmetics to work toward, but even that’s a stretch.
There’s a handful of the PVP guys on the forums always advocating for changes to PVP and it’s always the same people making the same posts, over and over again. Now I’m not saying changes will never come to the PVP side of the game, but it’s highly improbable, based on what we currently know and the facts I have given.
