The Eternal Option

Sure. Let people know there’s something else to do if they’re done with current season and still want more D4.

I’ve played other games where PTR was pretty much open all the time and I lived on those servers. Every change no matter how big or small went there first. They used it as an actual PTR and not just for some marketing hype.

Yes come to eternal with all the angry old people personalities. We can shake our fists at the kids n their seasonal chores, rmt, and spirit blam or w/e its called.

You might still have mat shortages tho, i do  lol

Yeah, I wished the PTRs were longer, maybe 2 weeks instead of 1 would be great.

Uh, eternal is where you go when you’re tired of the seasonal mechanics. Or when there’s no actual seasonal mechanics. Like the past three seasons.

Seriously, surprised you’re seeing material shortages on eternal. After breaking a full stash, I’m good to reset masterwork for six characters a few dozen times each.

It should be long enough that changes can be tested again so people dont have to wait a month and a half to see bad changes fixed… in some cases an entire season.

Im kind of exaggerating it; im masterwork looping my last piece of gear to get the crits right and so im out of crystal all the time, but i expected as much lol

Suffice it to say that the Legacy garbage needs to cease & desist period. The whole purpose of Eternal Realm is for any/all gear earned during a Season sans Seasonal Items to carry over for use by Eternal Realm characters. Legacy tag defeats this purpose & is nothing more than pure laziness on the part of the devs. At the very least Uniques & Mythic Uniques could have been updated to carry over to the new systems. Instead, the devs took the lazy route & made all previous hard-earned gear Legacy which essentially makes these items useless outside of salvage for mats.

Even worse is the fact that crafting Mythic Uniques of one’s choice has been locked behind Runes - many of which are extremely hard to come by. Good luck getting the Eom legendary rune to drop… I got my first Eom drop earlier today (Tormented Andariel) & I’ve been playing/grinding all season long. Eom is the legendary rune required to craft a Harlequin Crest & one needs 6x Eom (Legandary), 6x Lac (Rare) & 6x Ton (Magic) runes alongside 2x Resplendant Sparks just to craft a single Harlequin Crest. Of course one could head over to the Blacksmith & craft a Mythic Unique Cache with the difference being a RANDOM Mythic vs being able to choose which Mythic one wants at the Jeweler. Of course crafting Mythics at the Jeweler REQUIRES Vessel of Hatred since Rune Words were locked behind the expansion - meaning those without VoH are locked out of being able to choose which Mythic Unique they wish to craft. I bought VoH but it still doesn’t change the fact that the devs took the lazy route via Legacy tag which makes all previous gear earned in prior seasons essentially useless & defeating the purpose of Eternal Realm in its entirety. Total crock.

Yes, having to rune farm is a bit of a pain. But for Eom I just discovered something crazy. Varshan drops it regularly. Got 4 of them while farming him last night. Which gave enough to finally replace 540 Harlequin Crest!

I am beginning to wonder if specific bosses drop specific runes. Need more testing.

I’ve done countless Lair Bosses & got a single Eom rune from Tormented Andariel. Another Eom dropped for me at the end of a successful Kurast Undercity run using a Tribute of Ascendance (Resolute) a little while ago. Runes are supposed to drop from multiple sources but Eom has been extremely hard to come by. Tormented Varshan has been extremely kind to me in terms of Mythic Unique drops though. I’ve gotten 6x Mythic Uniques from defeating Tormented Varshan this season while an 8th dropped from Tormented Duriel. One was a duplicate (Nesekem, the Herald) so I salvaged it for a 4th Resplendant Spark in the hopes that I can obtain the runes to craft a second Mythic Unique at the Jeweler. All Mythic drops were on Torment IV difficulty for the record.

You only can play maximum two characters in Eternal supported by 12 Inventory mule. Unless Blizzard improve the stash space.

I will give a +1 for no more legacy shenanigans

Varshan and Zir have been Mythic dropping machines for me. Just wish it wasn’t yet another Spear of Lycander. Lol

Nabbed my ninth Mythic (Heir of Perdition) from Tormented Grigoire (T4) a few hours ago. Varshan has been the overwhelming source of Mythics for me. Had one drop from Tormented Duriel as well.

Just a PR stunt for all the Eternal players I guess.
So little too late.

Are you talking about the level 50 booster? Yeah, a bit of an odd gift. Doesn’t really do much for anyone who has played previously. Guess it’s nice for brand new players. But a free gift is a free gift.

Is it though, when you don’t accept it?

Yep. It’s still an odd gift no matter what.

Does the gift exist if you were not there?

Of course it does. It’s an odd gift. They defy the standards of requiring recognition and acceptance.
