As of this post, it shows 1 day and 2 hours to go. Which sounds like 1PM Eastern for me.
The 8th is tomorrow.
official launch is Oct 7th at 4pm Pacfic/7pm est. So OP is right and I hope the steam version goes live at 4pm today.

Well then why does my battle launcher say October 8th? Why does the website say October 8th? Did I miss something? I think you’re confusing the cutoff time for pre-purchase and not the official launch date. Which one I look at the pre-purchase paid shows that the game is available on October 8th.
Because when you will have 8th Oct someone will still be in 7th Oct. Time zones, dude

Officially it launches oct 8 globally. 12am October 8th is in england. see the lauch schedule in the news tab for diablo 4 on blizzard . net. its titled: ** What You Need to Know for Vessel of Hatred’s Launch**
If that’s the case then why can’t they update the browser and the website according to the time zone you reside in?. I still think it’s going to be dropped tomorrow not today but we’ll see hopefully I’m wrong.
