Blizzard has been simply purchased by big NGO’s and Institutions as many big gaming companies today. To simply put, blizzard isnt charge of their own game anymore.
These international institutions dictate what can be in modern games and are actively trying to destroy what was once good, so they can keep making 0 effort games.
Look at Ubisoft, Look at Call of Duty, Look at Diablo 4. They’re the laughing stock of the gaming word now. Stop buying this crap, stop buying D4’s expansions, they’re ripping you off. Can’t you see?

The bigger question here is who isn’t ripping someone off? Fair trade is gone for good. Greed and envy are here to stay.

Is funny to imagine 12 old guys in robes deciding what should be the game of the year: BECAUSE OF THE AGENDA!

Its all BlackRock and bin Salman, isn’t it?
it’s a game for shareholders, not for you. Best way is to never pay them another cent

It has been this way since the Activision acquisition; they started to fall.
Back then it was about passion and the ability to create a wonderful product overall.
Nowadays it is about keeping the shareholders happy and generate profits. Money talks.
Devs also relies on monthly salaries - which to be honest are severely underpaid.
While the CEO’s are laughing at their bank account. That’s how the corporates ladder works now.
Hence, why indie game developers are on the rise, charged at an affordable prices, minimum team required and fun to play.
Some AAA game companies are striving (FROM Soft, Bandai nameco, nintendo, Epic games, Rockstar, Take-two etc) while others are turning to corporate greed.
In D4’s case, during the decade long development, there was a lot of issues I believe. Mismanagement, different game direction, internal conflict of interest, changing of personnel’s, Blizzard scandals happening and game director changes. Ended up on release was what we got - an unfinished product with no head or tail nor even a road map.
Now, it seems they know what they needed to do. To “patch” up the holes first to let players taste test and see how well it will be received. Then to refine things at a foundation level a step at the time.

The problem is a lack of good alternatives but I agree. If you want real change you have to hit these people in the pockets, hard. They just don’t care otherwise.

D4 officially ended at S6… enjoy one expansion and if your lucky you will get up to S10 untill they put D4 in maintenance mode… If we are lucky this will be the last diablo game
That describes most people on this forum.
Looking at Ubisoft? The last Assassins Creed (Mirage?) was a good game and Star Wars Outlaws, too. Ok, there are some bugs, but it is good.
Blizzard was one of the first victims of greed and shareholders. The “big” companies today haven’t produced anything relevant for at least 10-15 years. Blizzard’s last major release was StarCraft 2, which still has the best developers and artistic team. Today Blizzard is just a bunch of totally untalented outsourced workers.

We should play the d4 is d3 song next…love that one
What forum songs do you guys love?
I support your message, and anyone else who follows you into that dark night, but you’ll never reach the masses this way. The forums are a very small minority compared to the player base. So are YouTube watchers, stream viewers, social media users, etc.
The only thing you can do as a player yourself is to not advocate the game. Stop playing, Uninstall it, and don’t post on their own forums. If you truly don’t want the game to change for the better, or give constructive feedback on the game, it’s best to just walk away and never look back.
Many people did this after S1 hit. We still never hear from them sometimes. We’ve also received some major changes to the game since then. So clearly the loss of so many players convinced Blizzard that they need to change their game.
I have nothing but respect for people who stand by their convictions and follow through with their actions. Good luck to you.

Do you know how to uninstall? I’m sure everyone here would be glad to help
I knew deep down, that you respected me.
Welcome to capitalism, its a shame. And as consumers we get to choose from prepackaged corporate crap and then be told we should be grateful.
The beatings will continue until morale improves!
Because dumb consumers allow it lol…
I’m hoping it does, let’s move on to d5, we already got d3 we don’t need a clone of it, and hire poe devs to make it.
I agree here, for all the people that were saying it had a ton of players still, why would they totally remake the game if they had a solid player base? Just shows me more people quit then they wanted to admit
