Necromancer players out of EVERY OTHER CLASS have THE most profiles set to Private that I’ve seen across ALL other classes! To be honest, I don’t blame them. With all the stuff I’ve been going on about with tech theft and whatnot, I totally understand & even glad that people caught on.
If you are competitive in any way, you want to keep your cards hidden. I’m not saying to not say or publish any information at all. Your build, the one you think could be top, should be kept private. Your public contributions (if any) should be very conservative.
For example, if your build is Bone Spear, don’t detail exactly what your gear setup and paragon is. Talk about Bone Spear’s damage, aspects, pros/cons, etc. But don’t say, [insert maxroll link here] is broken. You might be giving away top 1000 material.
That being said, you might be thinking, “Wu, you’re a punk blah this blah that”. To that I say, this is a competition. That’s how things go. It’s how things ARE. If you want the gold, you can’t be giving it away. Sorry not sorry copy/pasters.
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF IT…I do see other tippity top players who have their profiles open and that’s totally OKAY! Reason being is, DAY ONE they’re able to hit top 10. The only people who can even come close to beating them are others near top 10. EVEN IF you copied them, you wouldn’t come close to them. As a top 10, you’re aiming to copy/beat #1 but if you do that, they also copy you to retake #1. This sort of thing is quite common in the speedrunning community.
