Loving that he is back, but good lord, did they put him in just to troll us? He 3 shots me, is faster than anything else in the game, and I can barely do any damage to him after steam rolling through a dungeon.

The best hint I can give you is find a pillar, or rock, or something you can kite him around. Easiest kill of your life lol.

The butcher tried dodging me both betas, he didn’t want no smoke, he sure got that smoke when he did finally show up. Face tanked him with my druid lol

I just dont understand, If I met a Butcher on Hardcore at level 14 How m I supposed to kill him ? I met him two times on Hardcore, First I was Level 26, no chance to run, no chance to escape, no chance to survive. It really makes me feal to uinnstall this game.

I don’t know why he’s avoiding me. I have yet to see the Butcher. Starting to think he’s a myth. I got a Sacred Unique to drop before seeing him…
Basically yea. And i love it! adds a feeling of danger and suspense to every dungeon run.
Well, until you become so strong that seeing the Butcher is like seeing a big heavy treasure goblin, because he’s pretty much guaranteed to drop at least some legendaries.

Either you ready yourself for the eventuality that you are going to face him, or you avoid dungeons so you don’t have to face him.

Same here. I’ve done like half the dungeons too because of the side quests. I must smell too good. He avoids me for lack of stink.
I only saw him once in the first closed beta. Have yet to see him since (even in the server slam never saw him again). I have done a bunch of dungeons too. Oh well. I am sure I will see him in time unless there is something specific I am missing to trigger him.
I feel like you should basically avoid all dungeons except the ones you need for your aspects early on anyway and just hit the campaign.
Also your name annoys me as much here as on the classic forums… 
Makes me sad 
I want to test my melee rogue against him. Cause my necro in the beta he slammed my skeletons in to grave dust. and I ran around looking for corpses to summon my army back.

Just encountered him for the first time in hardcore at level 55 in a nightmare dungeon. 5 min before that I was thinking that it was weird that I haven’t seen it yet then the music charged. Luckily I got the best of him

I met him once. He fed me my face and said you’re welcome.
My Melee Rogue absolutely crushes him. The Butcher has nightmares about my Rogue.
He’s pretty silly lol, high speed, high attack damage and high attack speed. I killed him but it took all of my pots and alternating two shields with deep freeze ultimate as sorceress.
I did not encounter him till 46 mainly be because I was doing the campaign all the way through first. Was tough but not any real danger. His trophy cleaver now hangs from my mount
