Diablo 4 Season 1 - a place so devoid of fun that even the soulless monsters and demons are starting to look for other gigs.
First and foremost, let’s talk about this ‘renown’ business. They say, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” but this grind? It might not kill you, but it sure might make you wish for a swift end. We are talking “Mephisto’s wrath on an endless loop” level of exhaustion here. I wouldn’t wish this grind on anyone - not even that player who once took the last unique drop in a co-op game and then logged off without saying anything. That’s right, you know who you are.
The late game - ah, the promised land of Diablo, where you’re supposed to take on hell’s worst with your god-tier loot. Or so we thought. But tell me, oh mighty Sanctuary warriors, why would we play after the second capstone dungeon? It’s as if the Lord of Terror himself got bored after designing the initial dungeons and decided to let his lazy Imp do the rest. It’s a barren wasteland of repetitive gameplay that even Zoltun Kulle wouldn’t find funny.
But hey, who am I to judge? Maybe they’ll get things right in Season 2. Maybe they’ll drop the torment of the renown grind, build meaningful endgame content, expand our storage space, and hire a UI designer who isn’t a masochist.
Or maybe we’ll be forced to continue slaying demons with a UI that screams “mobile port” and an inventory system that feels like a cursed puzzle box.

I tried playing it again now just for clearing my pre order battle pass. 26 now and I am already bored.
Opened the battle pass and see it being lv 8 with the end of the track being 90(?). It seems with such level it’s intended to make players grind the entire 3 months. Oh wait look there is that big “buy battlepass level” button just at the side that your eyes can’t miss.
Lmao think I am burning out just by looking at the game

This was my first diablo game, a friend convinced me to get it. and im just so dissapointed coming from games with healthy endgames, once you hit level 80 your pretty much done, which is weird because 80 is halfway to 100 (based on amount of XP) but after that there is nothing but uber lilith, and walking through the same dungeons fighting the same enemies that do the same thing. and now with these nerfs to all classes, literally killing any hype i had left.

Like many others had suggested, go play D2R for the authentic Diablo experience.
D3… meh hit or miss I will say.
Well yeah that’s why you have multiple podcasts running in the background or music
out of curiousity i looked on twitch how the season looks like…decided to watch something else after 5 min, hell that looked boring

This is all well and good, but what purpose does this fill for people who enjoy the game, and how does preaching-to-the-choir help anyone who dislikes the game?
I am that Treasure Goblin you hit once, then frantically chase around the map, my message trailing behind, irritating yet alluring, like the shinies it may drop.

Nope.
No, I dont think thats what you are…
And yet you are still chasing it

No, im not chasing anything. Im just responding to you.
Probably because I wasn’t actively trying to tick items off the chore list. Was trying to clear open world content because of everybody’s favourite “reknown” is reset wow wee.
But looking at the amount of level for one to complete the full track reward, man it’s a chore off a chore
Its possible. I didnt do anything special or look at any challeneges. I logged in, did the first quest, joined a few friends, then did a few more of the season quests. Then we ran a legion event and i logged off. My BP is level 27 right now.
well guess everything is really faster with a group of friends in this game.
You might actually be on to something.
Try truck simulator i hear its a fun game.
I unironically love American/European truck simulator. Great games and they are always going on sale on steam.

I mean thats what i do if i am bored of a game, i play something else.
Even the greatest game of all time, “X” whaterever it may be…at some point i get bored.
and a New game “X” becomes the greatest of all time.
It’s like that, with games. At least for me.
But i get it when you feel disappointed it sucks.
