So with the new battle pass you earn currency to unlock things in any order that you want as long as the tier is unlocked? Am I right about this?

You are correct, as long as you have the currency, you can buy them in any order you want. I usually save up for the most expensive things first, buy those, and go from there, but doesn’t matter how you do it.

Too bad they significantly reduced the amount of platinum available from the battle pass. It used to be 700, which was effectively a 70% discount from the 1000 platinum purchase price of the premium battle pass. Now you only get 200 and have to pay the rest out of pocket.

Yea, I never have liked their monetary practices with this game. I get that its only cosmetic but everything should be like half the price it is for the most part.

Yep. Since the value proposition is now gone, I closed my wallet to the Battle Pass starting with S8. It’s up to Blizzard now if they want my wallet to open or not and get it back to that 70% discount.

Was there ever any value proposition here if the future of the game is uncertain?
I bought “Father’s stupid horsey” early on thinking the plat that came with it would be used for seasonal BP’s.
I was sitting on 996 plat from when the expansion launched…and could not find a reason to add more money to just use it.

So on a side note the socialist movement to give me a free 200 plat last season helped with that. :rofl:

But yeah I can’t find a reason to add any more money. I do think the game feels a little better overall but some things are still bad.

Yes. But unfortunately Blizzard pulled a senseless greed move and made buying the Battle Pass worse. They reduced the amount of rewards we get, and now we get 500 less Platinum and 2-3 months of season game play time all for the same price versus when we got more clearer rewards and 500 Platinum. That shameful change in Diablo 4 Battle Pass done this season was just wrong to do to players who paid and support this broken, buggy beta game that still remains in Beta.

I hope Blizzard does the right thing and reverts this awful, senseless greedy BS Battle Pass change they made with the game, because it is a major disappointment and turn off! And I’m not the only one saying it. - JJ -
