But it’s at this point if you want all of the above, it’s cheaper to just spend the 1000 Plat on the Premium pass (costing you $10 in Plat, with your free 200, netting $8 total). Basically making the pass cost an average of +$5 more than it cost before each season. Translating to $20 more a year.
Also, the above is about 27 cosmetics, far from the average 60 we were getting before. But that said, there now includes collab free potentials occasionally like the one included this season:

As a note, we used to get a whole cosmetic set of more simple armor for free*; ie. without any cost at all before*. Sounds like they got rid of that altogether. Shame because that used to have the odd gem in it.I didn’t write this i copied from reddit but is useful.
The 2800 platinum version changed as well, now including everything you listed above plus wings and a pet. Before it had 20 tier skips and an emote.
People were upset when the game first came out that you couldn’t earn enough platinum from a battlepass to pay for the next battlepass. Apparently that is fairly standard - or at least that is their argument.
Removing 500 platinum from the rewards is frustrating people. Giving feedback does sometimes result in change, eventually.
It is a cheap gimmick to increase revenue. They package and present it in a convoluted way so you won’t notice it costs more or to make you think you are getting a better deal. The effort and creativity go into doing this rather than the real issues with the game.
Blizz could Had D4 without mtx at all. Just make a good Game. Release 4 addons in 4 years for 50 bucks people would Buy IT.
They would had Made so much Money that way, they would get positiv Reputation that way and people would be Happy and gain Trust in Blizz and Buy d5 with No hesitation.
Its mental that Blizz does Not Unterstand this.

Very good question. The solution is very simple: if it’s too rich for your blood, don’t buy it.
Most people should be more concerned about whether this season will suit their playtime needs, because if you don’t like the season, why bother with a bp?
From a marketing standpoint this is very risky. It is a long-term strategy that is much harder to control and maintain than a short-term strategy. Too much investment to rely on an unpredictable future. Get the quick sale and move on. If at some point it fails the losses are minimal and the cycle starts over again.
Us as gamers understand a good game would sell and be a positive. Problem is D4 leadership are not gamers and don’t view D4 as a game.
season 8 I am voting with my wallet, no more it’s closed because of their poor design on s7 seasonal journey. Unfortunately due to work and being 2 months without internet capable of playing the game was bottled necked at 25 roots, 750 aether or 250 kills before spawn. So no pet for me means no more money to blizzard.
The quality… it just keeps going up up up!
