Unable to load game with Deluxe purchased. Report ID: CA5DDF3F-F09D-4C4A-8EA2-9ED3BFE4EB1A

I was able to watch the introduction video, set screen brightness, etc., then the game crashes and a “Fenris Error” pops up with this tag.

Anyone know how to fix?

Having the same issue. Not sure if the code is identical. But every 5 or so minutes of game play results in a similar game crash and message. I am using an AMD card and updated to the newest drivers, which blizzard required for the launch version of the game. I had no issues playing on the beta with old drivers.

Edit: just happened yet again, I copied my code this time: AC2D0D19-8C63-442B-A79F-6E13B15EEBF7. The code seems to be unique to the report and not to the cause I think.

Had this EXACT same issue when in beta.

The fix back then was to lower your resolution to 1920x1080, HOWEVER, it doesn’t look like you can do this anymore.

Waiting to hear what the fix will be from the D4 Team

I changed the display settings in windows to be 1920x1080. I will post again soon and let you know the results. It changed the game settings when I did this.

UPDATE: no luck. Crashed just as it has been in about 3 minutes.

Same fenris errors , did all the fixes ppl and devs wrote here… nothing works for me…

I am unable to change the display resolution in game? Are you able to? Or were you changing this for your PC?

I did it through windows. It changed the in game settings as well, but this did not resolve any issues.

Ya, last time it was fixed when I updated the setting within Diablo 4 - not - my windows settings

Same , fenris error all day, can’t seems to find the cause and blizzard haven’t said a single word about this problem

Is there a fix for this yet!! I wasn’t having this issue yesterday but since an update today I now can’t launch the game!! get the “unexpected error” message

Got this error at least 1 per day since I started playing on 02.06.
Now however I am getting it each and every time I get into to the game.

  • I get into the login screen
  • I chose to use my character
  • I start on the map and as soon as I make a few steps it crashes again

I tgried the repair option in the battlenet launcher and it said at the end that it had nothing to repair.
However after that I was able to play.
I am now 1 h in without crashing.
Hope this is how I end the day and the crash will never touch the game again.

Edit 1 : 20 minutes later and the error is back :frowning:

Edit 2 : 1h later and my entire computer froze and I had to restart it :frowning:

Edit 3 : Since blizzard is saying nothing at all I took it upon myself to see if there is anything I can do to make this brand new game play for a longer period on my PC. The key here is “brand new”. I supposed that the compatibility of this brand new app with the existing apps on my PC is at a verry low level. Thus I closed all my other programs on my PC in order to evaluate if it makes it better for D4.

Been playing without interruptions now for 8 hours straight !!!

I have a 5 monitors setup. I was playing D4 on the center one and had different things on my other 4 monitors. Guess this is too much for D4 for now.

Hopefully in 10 years D4 will allow me to use my other 4 monitors for what I want :frowning:

i’m crashing non stop every 20-30 min. haven’t seen a blue post in response anywhere even addressing that they’re working to solve this. tried most solutions people suggested on forums/google, nothing worked so far.

same issue … crashing at random times from 5 to 30 mins.

Same issue. Random crashes…from 1minute - 1 hour of gameplay. A lot of times it happens when talking to vendor or openging the world map. My Specs should be good enough.
Game was workuing fine until the hotfix…I could run it on ultra with constant 150fps…even with a lot of things going on…now I can´t really enjoy it with the constant fear of crashing and loosing progress.

Yeah!!! when talking to the vendor that really seems to trigger it but also just happens randomly

sometimes I can enter the vendor but as soon as I click something like sell/buy it crashes.
Are you on high res assets/textures or without?

I am on high everything but also have high end PC, it was not a problem on day 1, after last update it happens so often

yeah same for me. was working fine (1 crash in 8 hour session). since yesterday it happens like every 30 minutes.
For some people it helped to use the high res assets…but not for me. even without them it crashes.
I think the latest hotfix brought this problem. Maybe while trying to fix something idk.
