The scroll that reverses bricking, some people are going to be raging. Wait for it, forced co-op if you want the scroll.

It’s not my preferred way to play, but I will likely play along because there will be rewards attached to it. Diablo 4 isn’t my first MMO :rofl:

I was only half watching the stream because my friend was annoying me but did they actually say its the only place you can get it? I mean I am going to play the content but I am not for them having something like this not available to solo players.

The new scroll should be obtainable from additional activities.

At least you can co-op with just 1 other player instead of being forced into 4 players
As a solo player… im not too annoyed

They might just end up tacking the scroll on as a tormented boss reward as well. That said it sounds like an afterthought, just a last minute “bait” for expac since everyone is so irritated with having their gear bricked.

The 1 puzzle they showed is what’s troubling to me, looks like people need to stand on a switch in different places to open a door, sad times

This will probably be explained more in the developer livestream on August 29th. It was said on Day 1 on the Gamescom livestream.

Though, It seems plenty more changes are coming. Possibly a paragon rework?

I’ll be honest the co-op area doesn’t bug me, but I don’t agree that this should be the only place to obtain these new scrolls. We’ll see what they have to say on the Livestream, I imagine there will be a lot of angry customers. Still hasn’t changed my mind about buying the expansion, but I could easily see this putting people off. Not the smartest move they could’ve made.

Earn Coveted Rewards

Every week you can earn a Weekly Rewards cache the first time the Dark Citadel is completed. These caches could grant you resplendent and exclusive items only offered from Dark Citadel.

Throughout the Dark Citadel, you’ll earn Citadel Coins, which are key to unlocking cosmetics exclusive to Dark Citadel that evoke the regal mania of its demonic owners.

Well, considering I think the scroll is a mistake, I’m happy I can just ignore it and not bother with the co-op dungeon…

If you look at WoW and DI, you notice the daily and weekly quests and raid IDs.
The so called “dailies” and “weeklies” are making sure, you come back often and player numbers stay high. Player retention.

You shall not play 12 hours a day for a week.
Just 90 minutes everyday. For the whole season.
Better for server health, better for your health. Better for stockholders health… and wealth :money_mouth_face:

Yup, I’ll pass on the forced co-op play…hope Blizzard will at least consider feedback from solo players and offer other means of obtaining such items or rewards.

Not my favorite content, but I am willing to put up with it.

Right now, players really don’t have a lot of options when it comes to bricked 3GA items (I don’t care about bricking any non-GA / 1GA items. I can brick dozens of them and not bat an eye).

At least with the Raid rewarding reset scroll, there is a hope of restoring the very rare 3GA items people find. Yes, they may have to do this ‘group’ content, but at least there is a way.

Everyone can be happy. Those who were vehemently against temper resets, they can just keep playing the game without using those scrolls and keep their items bricked. Those who wanted reset, they can put some work into the group raid and get the scroll and save their precious 3GA items.
