Thank you Blizzard for not turning our Gear & Weapons into USELESS "Legacy" in Eternal Realm :)

Its doesn’t matters to me, that why I say it don’t matter. How is that wrong? You can profess your love to the boring eternal as much as you like. It doesn’t bother me. There’s no need for insults, don’t be a righteous wannabe.

Loot reborn changes were fine, but everything we had became garbage instantly.

Sadly this will be the case with the expansion too, but probably they won’t turn into legacy but there will surely be higher than 925 so everything will be thrash again.

Probably it won’t be as bad as what happened with S4 but the end result will basically be the same. You spend a lot of time getting perfect or close to perfect items. They won’t be that anymore when the new season starts. I am expecting them to still be decent/good items but if you want the equivalent of what you had, you will have to replace them.
Someone reported in the forum the position of Blizz when it comes to items: they are supposed to have an end of the journey. Blizz is just making sure it coincides with the end of the season.

My Eternal Characters are my main characters. Blizzard heavily markets their story, lore, characters, and cinematics. It is my ETERNAL character that plays the quests and stories. My season characters do no, they are throw away grinding characters that earn items to bring back to the eternal realm.

That’s only to say that the current items will be on a withdrawal only chest coming next season on the eternal realm, same as always.

I know. I was just being sarcastic. The “we know how much you value your hard-earned items” sounded a bit hypocritical to me.

To answer your question about why I continue playing and supporting Diablo IV, The answer is simple:

  1. Although Diablo IV is still broken, buggy and still in beta with many issues and problems that need to be fixed and improved, when we all first purchased the game last year in June 2023, we didn’t expect any of these problems and issues with D4, which continue to this day. No one knew this would happen when Diablo IV came out, which was very messed up and disappointing for Blizzard to do to all D4 players who paid for this game, myself included. And, the worst part was the MASS NERFS in the game that ruined player progress and made the game worse. However, despite all of this, I enjoy the game to a certain extent and the initial campaign in Diablo IV is epic and fun to play more than any other part of the game. I’ve replayed the campaign several times with different classes, and it’s always fun to play. Not to mention, season 2 finally started showing some improvements, but then season 3 was an epic fail. Then came D4 Season 4 and it turned out good. Both season 2 and 4 have been good and fun, but the game still remains buggy, and way too repetitive, boring and grindy with no real end game other than Pit runs, which is okay.

  2. I been a Blizzard customer / player for over 20 years now, and in my experience Blizzard eventually does the right thing and makes things better for players, but just how long that will take with Diablo IV is unknown to us. Either way, I do appreciate Blizzard’s efforts to continue fixing and improving the game, regardless of the frustrations I have shared about the problems and issues with Diablo IV. - I just hope Diablo IV comes out of Beta and becomes the epic, fun and rewarding game we all thought we were getting when D4 launched last year, sooner than later. So, I’m remaining hopeful Diablo IV will eventually get better.

  3. Another reason I continue playing and supporting Diablo IV is because I have seen gradual improvements in the game, and although a lot more needs to be done to take Diablo IV out of beta, the ongoing fixes and improvements are appreciated. Also, it’s awesome to see that Blizzard is adding Mercenary Companions to the new coming expansion Vessel of Hatred, which inspired me to pre-purchased the Ultimate Edition, and I don’t have any regrets either, especially now that Mercenary Companions will be coming to Diablo IV in the new expansion. I specifically made several suggestions to Blizzard on this forum about adding Mercenary Companions and how it would make the game a lot more fun, rewarding and worth while playing to make up for all of the bugs, and repetitive boring grinds. To my pleasant surprise, when Vessel of Hatred was announced and I saw Mercenary Companions I couldn’t believe it, but yep, it’s happening, and definitely nice to see that Mercenary Companions are coming to Diablo IV! - Whether or not this is from my many posts suggesting Mercenary Companions last year or not, it is awesome to see that Blizzard is adding Mercenary Companions to Vessel of Hatred, coming in October 2024, which I am looking forward to playing. FYI: All of my posts and suggestions in this forum are public, so feel free to see all of my suggestions for yourself.

  4. On D4 Issues and Problems: In all of my many years as a Blizzard customer / player I never experienced so many issues and problems with any game like I have with Diablo IV, and I am not the only one. But again, I believe Blizzard will fix and improve D4 and the game will eventually come out of beta, and hopefully this will happen sooner than later. For reference, my favorite Blizzard game of all time is WoW! World of Warcraft NEVER gets old. The epic music, storyline and game play is always awesome and fun. There is always something to do in WoW! There are other games outside of Blizzard I like as well, but none top WoW. Diablo 3 was a lot of fun too, and now I’m just hoping D4 takes things to the next level and becomes awesome, fun and rewarding, and gets the fixes and improvements it needs for all D4 players to really enjoy the game a lot more than it is now.

  5. This forum is to share our ideas, suggestions, disappointments, and problems with the game, so that the Devs at Blizzard working on Diablo IV eventually make it better for all D4 players who paid for this game. I give credit where credit is due, but I will always call out the BS and express my disappointments too. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t like the game. If I didn’t care or liked Diablo IV, I would not waste my time buying the game in the first place or even consider playing it. I see D4’s potential to be a lot better, and I hope it gets a lot better soon!

With all that said, I hope that answers your question as to why I continue playing and supporting Diablo IV and Blizzard games. - Cheers! - JJ - :+1: -

The simple fact that we have, and are discussing the Eternal Realm, by definition, means it matters.

I thought that’s what you wanted. It hasn’t escaped my notice that you’ve been constantly courting attention here for some time now. You don’t even care whether the attention is positively or negatively charged, the main thing is that you can cause offense here.
“Prove me otherwise” and other phrases are supposed to drive us to answers, explanations and anger.

You’ve done it. I have hereby taken note of you. And now find friends, joy or a job in the garden.
But solve your problem.

They all do. Every thread/topic eternal player start, there and always will be attention-starved seasonal junkies that want to inject their toxin and unsolicited opinions. Even though the question does not affect nor involve them in any way, ANY WAY AT ALL, they LOVE BARGING IN and rub their noses where they don’t belong. They just can’t help it. They’re like barnacles. They’re an unfortunate fecal biproduct of going to the forums to ask even a simple innocent question or start a topic seeking intelligent suggestions, discussions and insights. You find it from some, but rest assured these maggots will be present as well. Nasty little critters they are.

Funny they don’t think like this about our hard-earned 2 or 3GA items when it comes to tempering with the attempt caps too

The people that say eternal doesn’t matter:
At the beginning of and throughout the season ask on forums/discords
What’s the “best” class?
What’s the “best” build?
Continually ask for carries. God forbid they actually play the game.
Always group and want “help” on Capstones, bosses, uber bosses, Lilith.
Ask/beg for gear
Always want “links” because they are too lazy to look it up themselves.
Brag on their accomplishments in the game as if they did it solo themselves.
Shows off their gear and tells how much they “traded” for it
Brags on how much gold they have (probably “Chinese” gold to boot)

As you say, the game is in beta which means the devs can change whatever they like however they like and you can’t complain about it what so ever since that is what beta is all about. Enjoy.

Eternal really is just pointless. The only thing you don’t have to do in eternal compared to playing in season is level up a character and that’s hardly an arduous task. Gear has changed in nearly every season causing you to farm gear every season aside from season 0 to 1 and season 2 to 3.

Season 2 upped item power from something like 720 to 925.
Season 4 completely changed legendary items.
Season 5 completely changed unique items.
Season 6 because of expansion will likely power creep a bunch of old gear

Again eternal is kind of pointless because you’re farming for new gear nearly every season even in eternal.

We might have soon: “we know how much you value your hard-earned 2 and 3 GA items so we will be giving you an additional tempering attempt to drastically increase your chances of getting exactly the items you want”.

The point is not to level another char, not to level the glyphs again, not to farm mats when you have 50k+ of each already, not to farm gold to desperately try to roll a skill on an amulet.
Oops, these are points…

If i have to refarm something, I don’t want to have to refarm everything.
I want to start farming right away and jump into infernal tormented pits in a steady growing community of friends and like-minded, calm and mature players :joy::pray::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I am curious how you will hold them accountable if this is unacceptable. Will there be some consequence or by unacceptable do you mean you will accept it and keep playing?
