I would like to take a moment to thank Blizzard for clarifying their intent to move D4 into a group /raid based game. I myself bought VOH to try out the new class and hoped the DC was a 1 off or that they would actually in the future make it also able to be done solo. The fact that they stated their intent is actually to see more content like DC in the future hence Lead Raid designer Jason Bentley this will be most likely be my last investment into D4.
I am sure they will attract many players that enjoy the group/raid content to come i myself have been down this road before and do not plan on venturing down this path.
I know this thread most likely will be flamed by said Pro-Groupers however as i said i thank Blizzard for the clarification so Flame away.
I posted this Below but i will repost here - I invite Blizzard to correct any of what i said if it is not true.

I watched the Campfire yesterday and came to the same conclusion. Fortunately, I didn’t make the same mistake as you, pre-ordering VoH. I don’t do multiplayer games. A co-op game activity would have been acceptable to me, might even have tried it once or twice but knowing what the future of the game is I am not any more interested.

Have fun doing solo stuff.
I doubt that, This game was not born of a MMO the mechanics and abilities do not fit the genre of an MMO. So most MMO players will never venture here. Only a few curious stragglers who get a good deal on the game.

It’s just additional endgame content. For almost a year people been crying there is no endgame content. I am fine with it. I will try it, but it is not going to dominate my time in the game.
That is utter nonsense. That is not what I got out of this. So yeah, you read into it what you WANT to read into it. Good luck finding a different game to play.

I feel you man I’m in the same boat . Diablo has always been a solo game. The direction blizzard is going turning it into wow lite. . I’ll try spiritborn and well it’s my last investment to
Why they want to make it wow lite I don’t know but I’m sure ppl out their will light it. But it’s a last stand for me also

Can you read? I said I was GOING TO USE THE PARTY FINDER!
Are they?? Probably not, but this is Blizzard…
Pre VoH Dev Meeting
Lead Dev: Our research shows between 82 and 87% of our players prefer solo
Dumb Dev: Lets make a raid!!!
Leader Dev: Yes!! Nobody asked for it!!!

i suggest soloer, loner, introvert-er to joined up to organize a support group and hug each other.
after that, they can grouped up to do dark citadel together without feeling irritated because they are still soloer that do dungeons mechanism together without reaching out to grouper fanatics.
good luck.

according to the devs, more people want it. the more people that group up for it, the more content will be created for it.
i’m not doing raids in D4 unless I can be a healer or a boon/prot monk or an aura bot.
anyone can do DPS.
/edit
also I want to spank and tank.<-----the other way(tank/spank) it’s been awhile lol
when will barbs be able to carry a shield and have skills for it?
I say go ahead and play VoH and Season 06 completely Solo like normal. That’s what I’m going to do just like always. Maybe later on do some Boss runs with some people and continue on Solo, MasterWork your Gear as good as you can.
And at some point, we might get lucky and meet up with some people who hate Groups as much as we do and maybe because we’re all of the same mindset, we could atleast enjoy our company enough to get through the Raid. And then never touch it again.
I’m going to at least try it. If it’s to the point where it’s hard to do things in the Dungeon because people do not have Mics to talk on and it starts feeling like a hassle, I’m done with it.

I have said i already bought VOH will i try all the content with the people i group with yes. I simply said it will be my last investment in Diablo as the direction they clarified was more Raid content to come. I have been there done that do not need the headaches and unless you have done content like this you will not understand what i mean. I wish Blizzard and all the people that want this content the best of luck it is just not a path i want to go down again.
Again flame away.

I would wait to try the groupfinder, especially if you have already paid.
Then if you don’t like it by all means make another thread or play another game.

I don’t understand why these raids can’t be solo with OPTIONAL grouping.

Honestly, I found the post to be rather respectful. You stated your opinion, made it known you are not on board for the path they have chosen, and will probably be stepping out after this expansion.
Now while I may not agree with you entirely, I will say that forced co-op should never have been implemented in my own opinion, nor should it be a staple moving forward for this game. However if the rewards stay consistent, meaning new co-op content will not offer specific target farming, just cosmetics or items specific to the content itself, I’m ok with it.
It’s not ideal of course, and I feel the numbers will be skewed heavily in favor of grouping with this first season going into the expansion, as most people will probably want to at least try this new content. Rather curious to see how it fairs when S7 hits, and those who wanted to try it out have done so, with basically nothing left to farm in there, aside from maybe the weekly reward.
Time will tell, and if the numbers start to dwindle, I get the feeling they may pull back on their stance. We’ll see though, stay thirsty my friends.

Some people don’t understand that it’s ok to not like every activity in a game. Play what you enjoy and have fun with!
