You fixed nothing. Still can’t generate Resource or Fortify vs World Bosses. Bold Chieftain’s still doesn’t work against them. What exactly are you testing, fixing, or changing? Cause it changed nothing.
That’s why they call it “testing”.
It doesn’t necessarily work perfectly.
If it’s not a difficulty slider, they can’t figure it out.
I just reread the blue sticky… it doesn’t sound like they’ve fixed anything. They seem to have added some logging code to the server side to track what’s happening and why those things aren’t working in world boss fights. So no fix will be possible until they figure out what’s actually broken and why. If we’re lucky we’ll see the fixes (or the attempts) in a few weeks when S8 launches… or maybe it’ll be part of the mid-season patch. Sounds like they’re a long way from a fix if they don’t even understand the problem.

I saw the headline and wondered if it’s been made relevant. Detail was unconvincing so haven’t tried.
Most of the endgame builds drop the generator because resource is coming from different sources and practically never run out.
Also Lucky hit never procs vs World bosses for at least 2 season in row. Ever since they received their damage reduction buff.
PoE is subjectively doing better for a few reasons
- D4 is older, it’s no longer the ‘new’ thing
- D4 has had a revolving wheel of management who keep flipping back and forth with direction
- D4 had too many cooks in the kitchen and some of them were really bad at their jobs to the point where they were just adapting D3 code for D4 (we have some bugs that can’t be fixed because of it)
That said D4 isn’t hopeless but there’s so much tech debt in the way that it’s really creating significant developer struggles. So yeah here we are with witch powers every season going forward because that’s all their Band-Aid engine can handle in it’s current iteration.
What D4 needs is a grassroots game director who can make some tough choices about the priorities that have been neglected.
Fix the tech debt, get the documentation in proper form (especially this undocumented nerf crap…Jesus Christ people, c’mon lol) and go back over damage to stop the multiplicative stacking issue D4 has.
Seriously, the entire game is about stacking as much multiplicative sources as possible to get the biggest damage numbers. Anything that does less is left in the dust. That’s terrible design.

Are you sure? I swear if I take an elixir adding to lucky hit it seems to happen more often. Also my Barb with FoF always doing lucky hits definitely staggers it more often.
It may be certain Lucky Hit procs that are not working such as Resource gain. Who knows. We REALLY need a sticky that compiles all identified problems that Blizzard moderates. I cannot even tell you how many bugs get brought up and people just stop posting about them because there are new bugs.
It isn’t like the previous ones were fixed most of the time, it is just out of the cycle. Third Blade and Lucion’s interactions have yet to be corrected for example.
Ever since they added Resilience to the WB, Necromancers haven’t been able to generate any corpses during the WB fight including the Hewed Flesh passive which is a Luck Hit proc and active skills like Decompose and Reap that are supposed to generate corpses.
At least on necro I never procced Barrier lucky hit passive with Bloodwave nor corpse lucky hit vs any world boss. Also vulnerable proc on ring never triggered.
couldnt say i noticed that. Id agree that i feel like its not enough corpses being generated, but i do generate them.
Reap and Decompose works hewed flesh does not.
Reapers might work too but dont remember. Ofc AotD does too.
But only Hewed flesh is lucky hit based out of them. That seems to be the problem for 5+months.
not using reap or decompose, neither did i use minions, so the coprses must be coming from hewed flesh. (as i need to get some corpses to detonate for some paragon board buffs in my blood wave build)
so yea, id say it does work, but not really consistenly, and probably with too little amounts of corpses. It feels off for sure.
edit: only extra source i got for corpses would be blood mist, but yea, i took this into account
I’ve used Decompose a lot during WB this season, and I’m not generating any corpses from channeling that skill. I keep hoping I’ll generate corpses, but it never happens.
Corpse Reapers are currently bugged so you most likely wouldn’t be seeing any corpses being generated from them unless you resummoned them during the fight. Of course you’ll need enough corpses to do that which you won’t get from fighting the WB.
