Tempest Roar a bit too rare

Given you need it to bring a good number of builds online, it’s annoying how hard it is to get.

Had a druid to 80+ in both eternal and S1 now and I still have never gotten one, been running NM dungs all day, at least 10 hours now and still nothing. If I bother to play this one to 100 and still don’t get one that would pretty much be it for me this season. The only reason I’m playing at all is to get that so I can try the build I’ve been wanting to try since the dang game launched. Guess S2 they’re supposed to be adding better target farming but I won’t be around for that, so kinda sucks.

Honestly, I find them all the time. Seems once u get 1 they drop more frequent. wasn’t till 84 till I got my first (using a Pulv build), put it aside for a wolf build. Started wolf build got crone, MWG and TR before I hit 55.

Yeah I’ve heard that too and that does seem to kind of be a thing even with the other uniques. Problem is I can’t even get that first one heh.

I’m a bit of a broken record at this point but I got all of my tempest roars as rewards for clearing nightmare dungeons. First one dropped on a Tier 40+ clear.

They exist! This season I’ve looted about 7 of them from all different aspects of the game but the majority of them came from nightmare dungeons. The key is just play the content with no expectation. In this game if you expect things you set yourself up to be mad.

The three TR I found were also in the 80+ level range.

Wish I could find a lower level sacred one for an alt druid build I wanna level since you can’t use the ancestral ones till 80.

You’re not wrong but the drop rate is not the same as other uniques. To be clear, I have no use or it…I am looking for one just because I like collecting uniques. I think its reasonable to ask that all non-uber uniques drop equally and I do not think this is the case.

Got my first TR at 70 in a NMD and a second at 74 in a regular, both Ancestral. I have multiple of many of the others. It does seem that once one type drops for you you keep getting same one often.

I wish Crone would drop that’s the only one I’m after for my build.

I managed to get 3 crone staves and the first 2 I got from the helltide elites that spawn from the meteors. The 3rd one I got from a Nightmare Dungeon boss drop. Hope that helps in your hunting.

I completely agree this unique Helm is very rare.

My Druid is almost lvl 90 from leeching friends doing Tier 100 dungeons, still no Tempest Roar. Almost done upgrading to max all my Druids yellow glyph btw.

Well in fairness I think you are actually probably spinning the RNG too slow since the speed clearing on NM100 is slower than say 51 or bouncing around helltide events opening event chests.

The thing is rare, but I think the ratio is probably something like 10:1 Vasiliys. So the only RNG complaints should be those with probably somethign like 20 Vasiliys but no TR.

I don’t think I can say it’s slow, I’m with two lvl 100 Low Life Bulwark Druid. Any Tier 100 NM dungeon is a breeze.

Out of curosity how many minutes to run something like hoarforst?

haorforst is the fastest NMD to run reported from several sources, you can see the numbers in Raxx’s spreadsheet but its like under 180 seconds.

for this reason its the fastest dungeon to upgrade glyphs in, and its not even close.

I got 2 more TR tonight, I can see what Blizzard are doing, once you get a unique once it drops much more often so you can always get potential upgrades. I don’t mean to seem ungrateful I know how coveted this unique is but its not the build I want to play.

Still fishing for a crone. I think their code for how these uniques drop needs a re-think. Certain class uniques shouldn’t be any rarer than any of the other class uniques, just let us play the way/builds we want to play.

Yes, this is why I’m asking DingChavez how fast they are running that specific dungeon in T100 so I can guage how many boss and reward drops he is churning through. Getting drops every say 2-3 minutes versus every 15 minutes is a very different outcome after a weekend (or month of 4 weekends) of playing.

@muzka, not saying this is how the RNG works, but I am saying usually my subsequent drops are not upgrades but downgrades! Lol.

I’m also going to share some psuedo-psychology to the guys still hunting TR that I also shared on another thread. What worked for me while hunting TR was… Not looking for it. I mean getting your mind off of hunting for TR. Aim to level your glyphs, collect gear for your alt build, find that cool looking Scosglen barding from helltides, farm obols to find that perfect rolled tornado aspect. I know it’s not proven but for me it has yielded some results. 5 TRs have dropped for my eternal druid that’s specced for Pulverize/Trampleslide. While my seasonal druid that runs a shred/storm-claw build has only gotten it twice with the 2nd one being an inferior rolled one compared to the first.

do you have a link to the build? I might go for Uber lilith with my Pulvy druid and if that fails well… I have no choice.

I’m sure you could take down uber lilith with pulv druid…but I’m not sure I would want to if I already had TR? Single target with Pulv a bit underhwhelming personally.

I actually found a tempest roar, but I was so invested in earth skills due to running trampleslide up to there, I decided to just go full Bulwark Druid, instead of finding all the itemization for tornado werewolf.

Bulwark druid is absolutely broken, I run T100 in under 8min at level 93 lol. I’m pretty sure I could almost one-hit uber lillith but, I’m not sure as haven’t tried.

I nearly 2-3 hit the final bosses in T100 dungeons.
