Tempering should really have no limitations on how many times I want to try reroll for my desired affixes

I can´t really use that for my build now and it look so promising, Blizzard pls remove that tempering cap…

I needed damage to crowd control enemies and double cast of Puncture, this stat combinations are hideous.

Was really excited when this x-bow dropped and soon after the joy was gone…

Agreed. The tempering limit should removed and instead charge you gold per temper attempt imo.

What’s the point of the system then? Why not just be able to put the desired affix with max ranges on it then?

yeah 100% agree, guys it’s not MMO it’s ARPG. ARPG should never have MMO systems. It’s not about grind but about godlike rolls. Either you brick it or have GG item, same should work for masterworking too.

IMO the main issue here is that some tempering manuals are poorly designed.

Sure. Reset Temper on an item for a Spark.

What is the point of negative reenforcement? With enough bad experiences the person will avoid the behavior. So if the goal is to have the players not want to use the system then the negative reenforcement is going to do that.

Are you implying Diablo 4 isn’t worth playing when all source of RNG is removed?

Beyond lv 50, it isn’t.

D4 has a nice campaign/story. But if you remove ALL RNG, there’s no real point to go beyond that.

Temper System needs improvements. Like being able to keep your current Temper for a chance at a higher roll, and being able to reset completely. I suggest the cost of a Spark.

Removing all RNG from an A-RPG would be like removing all weapons from a shooter.

That’s totally fine. A game doesn’t really need, or should appeal to every player type. That being said, a person that breaks out in rage an tears when rng strikes might be wrong in an arpg.

Bold of you to assume the entitled Karen’s don’t just want to be gods and destroy everything at will with zero effort put in or having any obstacles in their way. If these cry babies had their way everything would be given away for free.

To be fair this is what happens when Blizzard caters to them every time. Like toddlers, they expect more and more and cry harder when there’s a challenge of any kind.

Sadly this is so true. Let’s hope blizzard grows a little backbone with the s4 success

If you remove temper limit, RNG still remains which is ok for me, I still would need to grind more resources for further tempers. Now I really can´t do anything about it, it was really nice rolled item, now completely useless for me and I already spend like 8 mio for the resource cost reduction affix (I should have waited after tempering and won´t even bother enchanting it…)

If WoW is any indication, I’d guess probably not. Everything they dumbed down was a result of relentless crying.

Yeah! Items should also drop with the stats I want on them. What is this crap where I get items with stats that aren’t the best ones for my build? And one time I found a unique that wasn’t the one I needed.

And glyphs and aspects and tempering manuals! I should just have access to all of them from the start.

Sarcasm, great… That was not point of my post. I only gave my two cents on game mechanic which is fun and exciting from the start, but not after a while when you going for certain items which seems like an upgrade, but after being not lucky making it completly useles and can´t do anything about it. Yeah I can and I will continue to play the game further, but I don´t have time to play more then two hours a day. And I may not see the same well stated x-bow for the entire season

Removing all weapons in a shooter removes all gameplay. Is it the same way for ARPG with RNG. Remove RNG from ARPG removes gameplay?

honestly i think the players here agreeing with the current system simply plays way too much mobile games

they are so happy to accept the fact that this system can constantly break your grind into something completely worthless.

Let me guess, you are also used to them selling you the brick prevention item in shop too? lol

A shooter can have some other gameplay elements, like navigating an area.
But yeah, removing the RNG removes a very big chunk of the gameplay of an A-RPG.

Grinding till your hands bleed, to get perfect items, sounds more like Mobile design to me.
So does never daring to place any obstacles in front of your player.

Considering we are the people who are arguing that such an item should not exist… maybe not.

99%+ of item drops are not remotely useful for your current build.
That is just A-RPG 101. The whole “bricking” framing is what is weird tbh.

All of a sudden, because Blizzard in their “infinite wisdom” moved half of the item generation from when the item drops, to when you click on a button at an NPC, items apparently are “bricked”.
