There should be a tempering reset item in the game, it should drop from the world boss or it should be craftable

Some one came up with this. I kind of like it. Should be a comsumable, and as rare as Ramaladni’s Gift in D3.

What’s the point? is there any build in the game that required full 3 Ga gear for it’s breakpoints?
Bricking is ok. Otherwise there will be no loothunt at all.

why should i? i am an adult and i can understand that there is a possibility that i won’t get “perfect rolls” on anything, it’s not D3 man, relax.

This is an absolutely false statement.
There is a loot hunt for the GA3 with all 3 stats you want. There is the loot hunt for GA4 uniques. You act like GA3 with the stats you want drop all the time. I have found exactly 1 GA3 item with the stats I wanted over 100+ hours played.

If there were a “tempering reset” it should cost a lot, like a resplendent spark or more.

dude, if we have something implemented in the game, players will first see it and then try to reach. Either removed GA functionality from the game or make it more like crafting and not like Vegas casino!!!

yeah man but the problem is that we have 5 affixes, not 3.

Imagine that you found only 3/5 and have 7 or whatever attempts to roll it 5/5. What’s the matteR?

Also as an adult I don’t approve this message. I find the best item that suits what I want to do perfectly and I have to trash it because I had 5+2 attempts on a temper roll? Make it the rarest item even. I would farm it honestly. Maybe we can use the scattered prisms since they are essentially useless after some point. Let them give 5 more shots at tempering why not

There’s already a temper reset, you can use trade whenever you want to roll again if you’re so fond of min/max

yeah but you found only 3 of 5. It’s not perfect before tempering.

You see it’s like you found griffon’s in D2 and you have 2 option either to sell it before identifying for a good price, or try to identify with a hope of max rolls. Even if you get bad rolls you still can use it.
The only thing that differs is just you can’t sell tempered items and i think they should fix it.

bad analogy
a griffons will always roll the same affixes
there is no garantee the next 3GA gloves you find will have the same affixes

and no, hardly a bricked 3GA is better than the piece of gear it would replace, so its “99% chance” you wont use a bricked 3GA

+1 for a way to reset tempering

Here’s my suggestion, I agree with the reset…

We already have an item that we get in abundance over time… the “Scattered Prism”. That item should also have the power to reset tempering.

I think it should be really rare , more than ramaldni’s Gift in diablo 3 , but should exist. Not in a I can use it on everything way but more like if I get a 3 GA item that I brick , I can work towards finding one if I play enough.

I agree bricking an item in Tempering feels awful. Let us reset it via a cost or something. ruining an item and making having a person ‘hunt’ again for the same thing only to brick your 10th item is not fun, skillful or knowledge dependent. Or let us pick the stats we want and let the RNG determine the stats bonus. You’re still able to min/max, At least it will be with the stat you want…

Should at least get the option to keep current temper when rerolling. It sucks that you are so shell shocked from bricking good items you sitting there with horrible roll valuse with 3 to 4 temper lefts afraid you wont get your stat back.

Raise your hand if you are tired of tempers ruining potential upgrades to your gear? Kind of lame when you get a sweet drop but then get screwed by the temper. Why can’t they get it right? Stupid.
