Is there really no way to have already learned recipes just… not drop? I keep looting them for it to just tell me “a stronger temper is already available” and it just seems annoying and easily remedied.

I completely agree. If you already have a better recipe you should at the very least be able to sell or salvage the lesser one. If that isn’t possible at least have it not drop or not take up inventory space. Maybe you could save them up and forge them into a better recipe when you get enough.
