Tempering nullifies the trade

Tempering needs to be reviewed. You need to put a reset like for masterworking, perhaps in exchange, for example, for many gold and materials or 2 stygian stones. Why this? Because trade is nullified. I don’t think anyone is going to spend 500 million gold or billions of gold to get a perfect or near-perfect item only to have it thrown away because the right find attributes don’t come out. Even in terms of finding, I am not very gratified and happy to see an item come out with 2 or even 3 greater affixes which are extremely rare, because I immediately think of the anxiety of tempering that can cancel that item. I think the current RNG system is too high and frustrating, maybe even higher than Diablo 2’s.

how does that even nullify trading ? (though it wouldn’t be a bad thing considering how much bots and RMT it added since they added legendary / unique to the trade table)
but in no way does it nullify trading , on the contrary it makes for people trade more since they are harder to get
if they would be easier they would trade less

i personally intend to never trade since i don’t understand how letting other giving you the end-goal (perfect gear) is any fun…but to each their own.

anyway, trading aside : it would be bad.

just think about it : if you could reset tempering : you would get actual perfect items very quickly / easily.
an aarpg is all about always being able to get better and better through farming.

if you could get perfect gear so quickly and easily : what would be the point of playing for long ? none.

Also : you don’t need perfect gear
it’s a goal, but definitely not a necessity

i understand the feeling of bricking feeling bad, but either masterworking or tempering need to be un-resettable
if both are resettable it’s the open gate to free quick perfect gear.

Then don’t trade. Problem solved.

There is nothing intrinsically problematic about paying for a 1/3rd chance at an item you want than a 100% chance at the item you want; the price of the item the market defines adjusts as a result.

I will never trade in the game, because I don’t want to support RMT wallet warriors. I’ve still reached end game and killed the vast majority of the available content, and given more time will do the rest. Nothing compels you to take part in trading; it’s not needed.
